| Recruited 21Jan12, Humberto would join the team as a rookie scout, but a quick to rise small group leader, alternating with Cecil Dennis on leading squads out into the wilderness surrounding SS. On 8Feb12, just a day after Cecil`s near-disaster, Humberto would experience a similar close call. Ambushed by Wave of Mutilation while trying to limp 3 Desert Hyena loot cars back to town. Humberto would take a blast to the throat just 6 turns in and spend the rest of the pitched battle unconcious in his battered loot muscle. Miraculously, and with a little help from Betty Motley, Humberto`d survive the encounter and 4 critical hits to fight another day. On 31Aug13, he`d lead a disastrous scout against a similarly armed Eviscerators squad, losing long-term vets Andrew `4 Score 7` Lincoln and Frances `Booyah` Upton, relatively young Marueen Landers and landing himself and the rest of his squad in Firelight. While this defeat may have been forgivable, his next failure would not. Having quickly escaped with the rest of his squad from the Firelight arena, and anxious to return to Elmsfield to rebuild operations there, he`d hastily force everyone into a waiting scout car brought by senior scout, Michael Frackin Osbourne, and a new Windsor purchased to facilitate their escape. Osbourne had the foresight to bring 4 spare tires and 4 extra rifles with him from Badlands, but Humberto would push everyone out the door immediately- even before hitting the locker for the rifles. On the harsh roads between Firelight and Badlands, the Windsor predictably had issues staying on-road pursued by 2 pickups and a ______. Attempting to rescue this car`s crew, Humberto would direct Osbourne`s scout into the fray, losing both cars and getting himself and gunner Frederick Brown killed in the process. Even worse, unarmed and attacked by a swarm of mutant spiders, senior scout Michael Osbourne and Curtis `Mack` Brown deathracer, sniper, skilled truck and car driver would be poisoned and torn to pieces as wilderness carnage. Only Derek Austin, double sniper, would survive the ill-fated voyage, stumbling in to Badlands days later, unarmed, radiation poisoned, and cursing the name of Humberto Garcia. | |
