Ok, just did a Pro Race (event ID 76283). Me in a Vamp, other in a McKenzie.
The McKenzie blew dead BOTH front tires into the first turn (they weren't new, but not sure how bad). For a full 1 1/2 laps, I still couldn't catch-em?? Even with my crap driving? Now I know the McKenzie is good, but does it now come standard with those "run even when flat flasho tires"? Maybe the driver was simply awesome, but I would have though it would be damn hard to steer with no front tires? |

I had a travel where I lost some tires. I was slower, but when I lost the last tire my car veered wildly that turn. I had someone following me that veered like that as well. However I didn't really notice it until I lost the last tire.
The tire blowout thing is still new, and I am curious on anyone's feedback for it since I was one of the people who was pushing for it. (I was sick of cars with no tires running me down when I was trying to save mine by driving more slowly.) |

Blown tires are cool but it seems it happens way too fast when you're simply drifting over level terrain, in races.

Losing tyres doesn't effect handling nearly so much as it slows your car down massively. Even one lost tyre can be crippling if you're trying to run away in the wilderness.
A lost tyre is generally far worse than a little engine damage, in terms of a race type situation. |

This wasn't the case in the pro race. It lost BOTH front tires. Maybe the Mckenzie is that awesomely fast? It still had the rear drive wheels? Against a 5L vamp with A grade, it was still on parr, if not better? I was sort of expecting the Mck to still have ok-ish speed, (compared to Vamp), but without steering tires, plow into a wall at any more-than-slight turn. But the reality was at 100mph (160 km/hr!!), the McK looked like it still stuck like glue around corners! |

cars should start to take damage once the tyres are blown... ending up with losing the wheel not the tyre.

McKenzie's are miracle cars on par with the hot rod!

The hot rod drives better without tires, which is why they disintegrate at the first hint of an opportunity. ![]() |
