(I'm sure there was a thread with GW gates escape videos, but it seems to have vanished). Event S179188, I've trying to get away from a couple of sedans at the GW gates in a 5L box van. Whatever I do, I just can't seem to shake them, and the turns are too tight to go fast through. So, how did I screw this up, and what should I do differently next time?

You did pretty good. That elim, however, drove like a champ. That was some nice AI driving. Your start position was questionable. If you weren't running for gates, you probably should have set up on the right, up the ridge, rather than on the road. You could also have set up to the left and gone backwards on the other side of those hills, jumped the small ridge and made a short run for gates (dangerous in a box van though). You negotiated that first turn well and layed oil nicely, but then you went straight rather than take the left turn even though you were low speed. The left would have put more obstacles between you and the AI and taken you right to the gates. You then took the trip through the burned out building, which just lost you time since the AI could just go around. All in all it wasn't bad. There were numerous times when you could have made it out, but screwed up a little and missed the opportunity (the missed turn to gates, the detour through the building, the spinout).
