Hey guys, new player, new installation.
I got it installed, but having a problem getting the lobby/patcher working on Vista (before you jump on the 'Visual C++ and java update bandwagon, read on) ![]() The problem is the fact that we have a transparent proxy here, which requires authentication to get through. I have a separate Squid proxy that I usually use to get around that box, but here's the problem. In Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Java itself I've defined the proxy server IP and port. The problem is the patcher does not use those settings. A packet capture shows the HTTP connection from the patcher/lobby program directly out to the patch server, which then gets blocked by the transparent proxy here. Is there any way to configure either a proxy IP/port, or a way to get the patcher to use integrated windows authentication to pass my credentials to the proxy? Thanks Guys! |

Dang dude, how about you just pass DW through on a rule. |

Unfortunately I don't have THAT much control over the proxy, so I can't do that.
Not THAT big of a deal since most likely it will work from home, just not here at work ![]() |
