I found this extremely interesting: a nice manifestation of human adaptability. This probably isn't news to some of you, but it was the first I heard of it.

Oddly enough, I spent a fair amount of time reading that wiki page last week. My favorite part of the article was:

The vehicles were instrumental in the victory at the Battle of Fada, and were driven over 150 km into Libya to raid military bases. It was discovered that these light vehicles could ride through anti-tank minefields without detonating the mines when driven at speeds over 100 km/h.  :o :o :o

I agree tripod machineguns would be a perfect fit for PUs and other vehicles with an integrated flatbed.

I have no problem with tripods in PU beds but if you can implement a 360 degree weapon in the bed of a truck, you can certainly create a turret.

The problem with a person in the bed of a truck sounds like the same problem with dirtbikes. Peds are nothing but fodder for vehicular weapons. Even a newb ganger's gonna want thousands to man a bed mounted tripod weapon.

Reading that wiki page made me want recoilless rifles in darkwind, but if they were to resemble the real thing, they might be a little OP :)

Actually, I'd love to see technicals, I love those things more than I love tanks, and I do love tanks.
