Ello chaps.
just discovered i can attach my laptop to my flat screen tv via HDMI, then use extend for a mahoosive piece of desktop real estate ( prob not news to some, but to me its a revelation ) Now off course i ran DW immediately on the flat screen, but what ever i do i cannot get it to fill the screen when i use the full screen option it just pops back over to my laptop monitor, where i cannot drag it back to tv. come on you gurus ( geeks ) what is the simple method i am missing here ![]() I am using windows 7 |

Under Vista (therefore probably the same under Win7) you rightclick desktop and 'personalise/display settings' -- this should let you nominate which monitor is primary and which is secondary. Maybe you already tried this..

No Sam got it with the primary screen option.
I'm running Vista, not 7, but all it takes for me is a right click on my desktop background and then a quick search for my display properties to find the multiple display settings. Change the TV to your primary and restart Darkwind, the options menu will change to reflect the new resolution of your primary screen. (If you think that's cool, do a search for some of the stuff people are doing with a little program called Ultramon) |

You can probably do it easier with the special keys to switch screen output.
Usually you have to press a combination like "Fn" F5 (or something like that) to switch output to either: laptop laptop + screen screen. If you don't know what combination to use, just post the brand and type of your laptop here. For the technical info see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardware_overlay and Sam got it right. |

No Grog, I don't have the money to afford to have second and third monitors on my laptop...

I have added it to our flat screen tv luckily having a laptop allows me to do this ( though the wife is not impressed with full screen DW ) the application is amazing, thanks for the heads up, well worth anybody who does multi screen to give it a go.

lol, I bet she doesn't. <giggles heartily>
Silly Bastiel did not get a graphics card with TV out! Given the choice of two cards, he went the cheaper one thinking it was just brand name jazz. Like who doesn't put TV out on their graphics card now days. ![]() |
