Here's a little bug that Scrag and i ran into.
During looting, Scrag took a Badlander, but it remained in the loot box. I took the same Badlander, and manned it with my driver Ernest Hemingway. Since we were on the phone, we realized what we did, and I put the car back into the looting box. Hemingway, my assigned driver, wound up in the "Carless Characters" box. I was unable to put him in back my scouting car, or even another looted car. I was also unable to put him into the temporary box. He would snap right back into the Carless Character box regardless of my attempts to seduce him with a sixpack in the trunk. Scrag then put HIS Badlander back in the looting box, and I looted it again. Ernest Hemingway was still in it, but I also had ANOTHER Ernest Hemingway still in the Carless Characters box. I was able to put the 2nd Hemingway into the Badlander next to Hemingway #1. Now I had 2 Hemingways and 1 Badlander. It was a rough drive home, with both Hemingways arguing and bragging about who could wrestle better and drink more liquor. Immediately upon arrival to town, the 2nd Hemingway disappeared, surely sore at his counterpart and was not seen again. He was last seen clutching an empty gin bottle and swaggering into Dex's. However, had we not done what we did to fix it, I would have had to leave the first Hemingway in the wastes, since no coaxing could get him out of the Carless Character box and into any other vehicle. |

Hehheh. Rule #1: make your bug reports entertaining. This probably all goes back to the same bug I saw later on - it might be a timing issue, where a moved item takes a second or two to be moved on your screen, and then you try to take it too. |

What I'm going to do is put a 3 second delay between each looting turn; hopefully that will sort it out. |

The forums think you just posted today Sam..
The 3 second rule is great for certain things. Food dropped on the floor, time to remember your own name, avoiding this particular bug from 3 years ago. However, I don't think that this bug is applicable to solo scouting, and having to wait the three seconds when you are the only player on a scout, or the last one left, is irritating. Is there a way of dropping the time delay when only one player is looting? |
