Hey guys...if anyone can point me to a previous post please do so. My system went Tits Up, and I had to load Win 7 with the new Motherboard I got...any how. I run as administrator and it hangs while trying to do the updates.
If I log in and go to the client I get the : "The version of the Darkwind scripts/media that you are running (v.50/77) is out of date and may cause you problems. Please re-start the lobby program in order to patch it." message. Any thoughts? (BTW I have been away for a month and am jonesing to get up and running) |

I'd suggest a complete reinstall of the game as the best place to start.
Also, perhaps make sure to use a different browser to IE. I recommend Chrome, but Firefox is ok too (basically I steer clear of IE, even now when people say it isn't evil like v6 was). Edit: If your HDD is the same as was on the previous system you might find that you have Sharing/Security issues in the folders like Dark-Wind's where the game is trying to save files. Whenever I reinstall I end up with folders that are still keyed to my previous logon, and I have to re-own them with the new logon and propagate that info throughout the filesystem. |

You also must run the Java updater in order to fully update DW... Doing just a reload won't work.
It is the .jar file. |

Dude! Avoid Internet Exploder... I'd even go so far as to consider safari for darkwind... |
