Obviously it should be a coverbased third person tactical shooter MMO with Korean levels of grindiness and a Starcraft style RTS aspect thrown in at the last moment. :cyclops:

There is an entire forum for this?

Starcraft was just a Warcraft clone, Give me TA or Supcom anyday.

A thrid or first person MMO would really work. Make cars expensive as hell and then you have players grouping up, one drives, several others gun, or hang out a window and use small arms, and then hey begin to wonder if they really are your freind after you hit a bump that sent them flying out of the car.

Anyone think of how awesome it would be to have a tecnical(a pickup with a machinegun bolted in the back) would be? Lots of neat things that oculd be done.

And yes, I know the entire post is sarcasitic, I just choose to respond serouisly, because I'm bored and because there's some merit.

Honestly I'd just like to see the game with a better physics engine, more flexibility in vehicle layouts, newly designed models that don't reflect real world designs, less bugs, less crashes.

And a singleplayer (campaign?) mode. :cyclops:

I was tempted to say, Darkwind 1, but it actually works.

And dont forget to let EA Games release and support it and run over Steam network.

For maximum suck-a-bility

I like the real world designs.  But I would live to also see player designabke cars similar to the player designed ships in that space game...  Galactic Empires?  Where u have shapes that u can cobble together and such.

DW works like an old car, it's old and it's got history but you might have to sweet talk it a bit to get it to start sometimes and you have to take it in for service often :)

My first car was a Ford Pinto...

But then I got a Buccy and after it fell apart, a windy (pre-windy 1)

Thats part of why I like the cars being real worlf builds, it brings back memories of my own past cars.

How about adding a Pinto, Sam? Instead of it lighting on fire from a frontal ram hit, it could burst into flames from getting rear ended. That would be awsome funny in a scout.

I think of DW as a wife.

Getting on a bit now, and there are certainly prettier options around!
sometimes infuriating- sure, but ultimately always there when you're in the mood for some fun.

If it lets you log in!

Darkwind is noticeably cheaper than a wife.

things the game needs

1) a physics engine that doesn't mimic moon gravity or allow steering while airborne

2) AI smarter then a stupid retarded lobotomized cochroach.

3) Game completely in the client, not half on the webpage. Which would close down tons of exploits.

Making the game look pretty, handle more objects, support motorcycles, and crash less is sort of a mute point if these key issues are not dealt with.

Motorcycles is the big thing for me- but as this issue has been discussed to death, i'm not going to bring it up again.

Oops!- i just did!

Even the greatest AI in the game industry is pathetically sub-human in the end. :)

As much as I agree with Goat... (More Scavenger-like) I think that scav still needs some serious work/attention to get it right...

Course it does.... But the principle works and makes a genuinely unique game
