Juris Posted May 13, 2014, 10:40 pm	Reed and Fierro thought nothing of their silent gunner Messinger as they rolled out of Tx on a routine scout against the Banditos. Messinger was always quiet - he kept to himself but was always a monster on the HCR. The Buzzer was Dread Wolf - an old warhorse gifted from an even older gang that worshiped a pre-Burn vid character named Judge Dredd. Supposedly the Buzzer's colors matched the description in the comic, but nobody in the Hessians could confirm that was the case. As usual Messinger hardly missed, putting round after round into the Anarchist's vehicles till at last their command vehicle, a battered trash truck filled with a half dozen fuel cans, decided it wasn't worth dying for and surrendered almost untouched. "Great job everyone," the ever-cautious Reed spoke. "Lets grab that garbage truck and head back." One of the three anarchists, former owners of the truck, flipped an obscene gesture at Dread Wolf. Immediately a shot from the buzzer's HCR took her head off. Messinger just smiled. "Another one to serve me in paradise." Reed sighed. The Hessian's former leader had begun an almost cult-like belief that the souls of the dead served the ones who had slain them in the afterlife. "She surrendered, Messinger." Said Reed. "She was pretty." Replied Messigner, with a lurid grin. Reed could only shake her head. Such beliefs were almost impossible to change. Later at the Tombstone the crew gathered for a celebration, but Messinger wasn't there. Reed sent a Fierro to check. About five minutes later, the implacable Fierro returned, pale as a ghost. "He's dead boss." Said Fierro, gripping her katana like a talisman. "What?" Said Reed, stunned, he was fine ten minutes ago. "I had the doc check." Said Fierro quietly, "he said it looked like Messinger's been dead a week." OOC: Messinger died of old age a week ago but I forgot. He was still loaded when I went scouting. I had no trouble controlling him and giving him firing orders. He's still there, but listed as an NPC lol
