Neat but also gives you that sinking feeling.
Honor to the fallen!

I did have to wonder about damaged cargo recently.
After taking evasive action to avoid an ambush, my courier vehicle came down a slope a little too quickly, taking a few points of damage to the side, and the "damage to cargo" message.
Checking the cargo screen, I found that slight bump had destroyed completely the cargo for my mission. What would a bump like that have destroyed? Medicines? No - private documents!
My role-playing alter-ego stepped in at this point with two possibilities: 1 - Documents had gone flying out of the window; 2 - My driver had spilt his coffee on the papers.

The mistake you made PvtParty is letting your gangers drink coffee.
Mine only drink moonshine when scouting. Moonshine would have evaporated quickly, and not spoilt documents.
Lesson learned I hope Pvt?

For all I know, my driver might have been drinking a McD milkshake! Or might have dropped a lit cigarette... who knows?!?

Last time my scout was drinking, she got ambushed with a free trip to FL.
Now I know what all those ammo hits look like though. Guess those actually won't load into mg.

3. the documents were stored on a rather fraqile hard drive that took a terrible knock and corrupted beyond retrieval.

Isnt that one of the prizes on the Evan Waste-Donalds tear off game? Tear the Tab off your Waste-Donalds Ammo Magazine To Go order and the prize window reads "Dream Vacation to Firelight!"
or at least you wish it were only a dream...
