Its cancer of the throat and lymph. Some of you have known, some recently found out. It's stage 4a(treatable). I have 9 weeks of chemo and 7 more of chemo and radiation. If I seem short tempered, if I lapse in judgement, please report it to Sam. I usually do when I have to do any marshalling. I don't want to do anything to hurt the game I've worked hard to help out.

If I don't respond when you're looking for a scout it's because I don't feel safe leading you. When I'm going through the 6 day chemo I'm tired. My thoughts are cloudy. I take a lot of naps. I'm frequently AFK. The good days are good, the bad days are bad. They're days, and I'll take what I can get.

If you have a beef with me or my marshalling and want to complain about it in the lobby feel free. Just don't cuss. And use my name when you're talking about me. You do it when I logon, or when you logon and see I'm on, so I know you're talking to me. There aren't alot if any other marshals that are enforcing the no cussing thing Sam wants enforced, so I know you mean me. At least have that much in the way of intestinal fortitude. When you've got cancer someone complaining about you trying to help out in an online game is really, really funny. Honestly it makes me smile every time.

Stay strong. It is not easy, it is a long hard fight. Friends and family support are very important, especially to let you know you are not alone. That even goes for all the players in DW too.

Anytime you need help or have a question, I will do my best to be there to talk to. Going thru a similar path in life makes it easier for me to understand.

So in the meantime, focus on your health. When going thru chemo, there is no such thing as too much rest, so take as much as you need.

There was a man in colorado who rubbed a MMJ balm on his neck tumors and it seemed to cure his cancer. This started a massive study into the subject.

I hope this info can lead you towards some help

Next round of treatment starts tomorrow, this is the big guns. Chemo in conjunction with daily radiation for 7 weeks, every weekday. At first things will be easy but they will get progressively more intense with the radiation every time. If I'm tired, irritable or unresponsive I apologize.

In case I didn't mention it, I beat cancer. Last scan came back cancer free. Thanks for the encouragement. Feeding tube is out, I lost 140 pounds. I'm off blood pressure meds, diabetes meds and healthier than I've been in years. 3 more months and I get the chemo port out and pretend this was all a bad dream. Still have a hard time swallowing food (it hurts), I have barely functioning saliva glands, can't taste sweet or sour, have pitting lymphedema (swelling in the neck because my radiation damaged lymph system won't drain properly), etc. etc. etc. but I'm going to live.

Playing WoW again of all things (solo, brainless stuff), Civ 6, Fallout 4, and Doom.

You'd do better to hear d0dger's review of it if he still lurks here.  He's played a lot more than me.  It's good, it's still civ but feels like a much bigger improvement from 5 to 6 than 4 was to 5.  The game has more depth than before, I feel overwhelmed with it still.  It still feels a lot like work to play a game because I'm still learning a lot.

I'm gonna read this the next time I find myself moaning about work, money, untidy kids, noisy neighbours, and all the other #### that doesn't really matter in life.

So happy for you Tango :D
