Hi folks. After several years, I've managed to find my way back to Evan. So I find that I have vehicles in the garage, with huge layers of dust on them. I still have gangers, which is a surprise. They drank all the money, which isn't a surprise. I'm close to newbie status on knowing how to play the game, yay, lol.

I'm working a couple of in town races to get back into the mechanics, but I have managed to forget how to produce money to pay the bills. What suggestions would folks have to get the cash flow moving again, as I figure out how to play again?

Winnings from town events.

Once you have your wheels under you, go scouting. Loot cars sell very well in Somerset.

Don't scout alone! Try to hook up with one of the guys running scouts out of SS. Tango is a good marshal to look for. Crayola and Fifth have been taking groups out too.

Good luck and enjoy!

Agreed that scouting from SS is your money source, but you won't start to seriously build up funds until you can solo

Sad but true, however hogging all the loot for yourself is the best way to progress

Trader hunting is still 'easy-mode' and I maintain two scout squads in SS working in rotation to solo scout and finance everything else

Thanks guys. Taking a couple days of free play to learn the game mechanics again, before going premium and looking for some newbie scout trips out of SS to join. I have the vehicles and gangers to run solo scouts out of SS well, plus couriers scattered across Evan. It's remembering how to get everything working that I'm missing out on at the moment :)

One new "feature" to watch out for is the introduction of untrucable renegade gangs

Regardless of your scout or your gang affiliations, these annoyances will always opt to fight - so always be ready to remove yourself from the scene if necessary

Not always, You can still truce these gangs. I was running a load of supplies to my camp with a friend of mine, and we were attacked by a renegade gang. Offered a truce, they took it, and we were on our way.

Nice! My misunderstanding then

What level scout/negotiator did you have along?

I've truced them with 200+ scouts.  I think you can only truce once per travel though?
