Hear Ye Hear Ye!
We are doing end of year cleaning of the garage and have a whole heck of a lot of extra junk….
Instead of a garage sale, it is announced that El Nubnubs are running the Second
Pro/Am Racing/ Deathracing/Arena Extravaganza!!
El Nubnubs are running six events that will take place in the northern Triangle of Somerset, Elmsfield and Gateway over a 3 week period, with 2 events per town.  The rules/sign up/results for each race are below.  All effort is being placed so the timing of these races can be scheduled conveniently as not interfere with the coming leagues and seasons.

Somerset will have a race event with player supplied Hotrods and an arena event using stock Vengeance Apaches.

Elmsfield will have a race with player supplied Sunrises and a deathrace event using stock Copper Buccaneers.

Gateway will have a two deathraces events, one with player supplied Pickups and the second event using stock Marty McFlys

Now some legal mumbo jumbo.

Regarding amateurs.  Amateurs usually qualify as those players with less than a year, are non-subbed (but not limited to), and in general are newer to the game.  Each entry will be determined on a case to case basis.  IF you have a couple buzzers and 10 apaches.. you won't qualify.

One issue amateurs have in competing with in these events is lack of gear.  So that in mind, El Nubnubs are supplying cars to the first 10 amateurs who pay the amateur entry fee of ($10,000) in each town.  That will pay for entry into both of that town events and supplies them with a brand new car that qualifies to be in that town’s race.  Pros and those after the tenth will have to supply their own car and pay the ($5000) at the gates of each race.  I will have stock cars for Pros but they will be more than the ($10,000).  Each event will have prizes, one for the overall winner of the event and a prize especially for the “first place” amateur in an event.  Amateurs do not have to enter in all 3 towns to get a car.  Each town will be independent so if you just want to race in Gateway, just make sure you sign up in the first 10 in that town.  IF you have quite a few cars and can supply your own, these cars are for the newest of the nubes.

Another issue amateurs have is they don’t have the skills to compete verse the big boys.  That being the case one of the events in each town, the races and one DR, will have a skill limit of 40 on all driving/gunnery.  To make this competitive for the Vets but still obtainable by the new gangs, the Deathraces/Arena Combat the limit will be raised to 80, meaning there may be many X trained pros going for the prizes.

The events will use standard point scoring for overall results. Amateurs will run a 2nd set of point totals only good vs other amateurs.

As such it thus brings us to the most IMPORTANT part of this announcement, THE SWAG!

All events will split entry fees as per standard for prizes

IF there is a tie at the end of these 6 events, a final event, in the “last” city in the northern triangle will be held.  Whether is it a Deadman’s Drop or Pit Arena event will be determined later.
Aside: Pros will notice that some of the individual amateur race prizes are greater than first place.  This is intentional to encourage the amateurs to compete in a larger event.  Besides, most of those prizes are all things the Vets often have already have laying around.

Overall winner:
One pristine Trash Truck with a Mounted Mortar in Somerset
Overall amateur winner:
One Buzzer, scout ready.

Disclaimer.  There may be bonus prizes along the way, depending on the mayhem, humor, incredible good/bad luck etc.

Finally, thanks again to all those involved in helping me fill out the amateur cars and some of the larger prizes.

I will cover all the amateurs entry fees so they don't have to worry about it. Send me the bill.
