Hello,
How difficult would it be to make vehicle explosions more visible/noticeable? I frequently miss this exiting event, especially on large scouts where the action is spread out a bit. I often only see the blackened car after the fact. Since every turn is one second (I think?) it seems like there'd be some smoking debris still dropping a few seconds after the explosion, and a nice plume of thick black smoke billowing up into the heavens. Perhaps even a mini-mushroom cloud. |

It always kind of freezes up on me when a car explodes, so if there is any noticeable effect at all besides the car turning black later on then I'm not seeing it. |

yeah, i agree... the large explosions from heavy rockets takes a huge hit on framerates...
but, it would be interesting to have a nuclear rocket, LOL |

Heh heh, I'm not asking for nukes or bigger weapons, I just want vehicle explosions to have more visibility. The volcanoes in the Firelight maps spout out some stuff into the air, I think something similar wouldn't be too hard on framerates...
What causes framerate slowdown on heavy rocket blasts? Is it the calculation of the damage caused or what? I didn't think the actual graphics display was that intense. |

I see a freeze every time I see splash damage the duration is relative to the amount of cars damaged. I remember Sam saying it might have something to do with sounds too once (though I havent tried it without sounds on). |

i always get a framerate freeze when alot of stuff is happening.. wonder if its connection speed related? |
