So here it comes... the first DW effort to store map knowledge in a guide!.

I put some cars where you should spawn if what you want is to run away from enemies.
These spawns spots are not affected by enemy starting spot. That's where you should spawn if the place is available.

The escape routes are planned assuming you are using fast enough cars that can outrun the ai. Do not ever try to take this routes in a 2L Chomper.
I'm assuming you are chasing pirates or being ambushed by slavers, not going for easy peasy traders.

From my knowledge (a hundred scouts at least) there are 3 main spawn "areas".

The areas are defined about where can you spawn "out" of the clear road path.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Area 1

Whenever the spawn more or less lets you go south of this image. Those are all great spawn areas!, very easy to run away with very little change of getting in firing range.

The route to the ambush spot is pretty strightforward.

You have to be VERY careful when passing the gorge. It's VERY easy to get stuck just before going down. You have to pass sticking yourself to the right wall (left in the screenshot) otherwise you will get stuck; that's where the AI should get stuck!.

First area cleared!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Area 2

Second spawn area. My worst encounters are always in the 1 or second area. This one sometimes you have to spawn quite close to the enemies but up the slope. You can get some far shots if you get some trouble getting down the slope, so be careful. The start of the route is an open area so you cannot afford to lose time starting slow.

Slowing down to 60 in the first upslope-turn-right pass will speed up the corner.
Once you get it done. The available ambush spot it's unveliabably good.

So second area cleared!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Area 3

Last one is the hardest, the hardest to know where are they spawning and the hardest to run away.

They usually spawn at close at your back behind the 2 small hills. You can choose 2 escape routes. IF you can spawn on the top or even a bit downhill of the lone hill at '2', they will most probably be quite close ahead, so better spawn behind where you can run to route 1.

Route 1 is a long one and you may get some shots (1-2) when going up the hill (top? be careful!).

From there its just run run to the ambush spot, there's an optional closer spot, or if you run a bit more you will get to the 2 area perfect spot.

Route 2 can be made longer following the road if they are following too close so going up the mountain may earn you some nasty top shots. And you will get to the Area 1 ambush spot.
Otherwise just do some climbing (that always split them).

So that's it! All those spots are great as you are in a bottleneck creating an even tighter bottleneck were the ai gets trapped. I have beaten odds of 2v7 in most of this spots, and 2v5 are quite easy.

Good luck and happy NFL scouting!!

PD: This may be spoiling the value of a vet, or even open a map for easy exploiting, i guess it's fine as it's Somerset, and it's not that bad to give some hints to new players.

you have the right idea but i think there are far safer routes through this map you could take for similar results. maybe not so bad with muscles and the like but id be weary about rolling apaches through those lumpy mountain passes.

;) Great job Effy.
Every bit of information helps the new comers to learn strategy or even be encouraged to experiment and find their own methods.

Half bump half request...

Could we somehow put this guide (and my other guide) in a pinned post?

(like this one "Information Links For New Players" )

So it don't get lost in the threads of time? (I don't tink it can't hurt anyone)

Thank you!
