Sam-
Sorry I couldnt find and reference the previous posts where people said the assigned a ganger to shoot, and they did not. You also added the text in game where it says that you assigned the gunner to shoot. Reference S1085325 -

On turns 53, 54, and 55, I assign my ganger to fire the Car Cannon with just the Fire Once command. All 3 times I get the text acknowledgement. All 3 times it didnt fire. On turn 56 I put repeat fire, and still nothing. I had ammo in the magazine. My other gun reloaded during this time (HMG).

Thanks, Longo

ok... Sam "fixed" the bug that would result in weapons being able to retarget and damage the new target if the target is changed during the firing phase. This fix has caused this weapons not firing bug.

If weapons are retargeted before the turn starts, they will not fire.

In short we are all being punished and forced to play a turn based game slower.

I hope this helps you avoid this bug which was obviously put in place intentionally and therefore is not a bug

Message I sent to Sam about this seemed to have been ignored so that's why i have to conclude it was intentional... Especially since X-Man said theres no reason to do anything before the turn starts... there is and not being able to target during the firing phase means a scout which should take 8 minutes takes 15 now with 3 cars, o ye this is a waste of our time that is unnecessary.

I can agree with Grimm Sykes on the content of his reply. I know nothing about the motivations and have no opinion of what Grimm is saying there.

But I too recently had a scout where my ganger didn't fire. It took about two turns to figure it out is was happening, and then another two to uassign the gunner and reasign and then retarget.

I don't know if Grimm is correct or not, but I can say that I DID give the firing orders while the game was shooting and moving from the previous turn.

It was a stressful return at the gates and one of my scout mates was taking blue hits as he approached the gate. So I was moving quick, even though in reality, there is no reason to. But you get lost in those moments sometimes.

I'm just gonna go on record here and say Grimm is full of sh!t if he believes Sam did this intentionally to hose people.
Sometimes addressing a bug has unintended results, which, yeah, sucks.

But thinking Sam did it on PURPOSE?

You need to go EFF yourself with that delusional BS.

Seriously.

his response to being told about it by numerous people makes things pretty obvious. That's is not bashing anyone. saying I am full of $hit is bashing and a violation of the use of the forums. A Marshal should be setting an example for others, not attacking someone about something they are clueless about...

Thanks for adding credibility to what I said by responding inappropriately.

maybe it wasn't intentional, maybe Sam just doesn't care

Grimm, I do always enjoy your rants posts - your tone and passive aggressive comments are quite clear to most that read them I would suggest.

You are assigning intentions that you have no basis for - nor indeed do you have a reason to consider other than as a route to have a sly swipe at Sam. Your last comment epitomises your approach, passive aggressive mumbo jumbo that suits your current rant and adds nothing to the conversation. Hardly surprising when people get tired of childish bull#### like this and let you know.

Having to wait for your turn to put your orders in or risk that order not being processed is unfortunate - just something that requires a little patience to circumvent. I would be fairly sure that the intention is not to make your games longer - indeed this is perhaps likely just the sad conclusion of closing an exploit or exploits that some people appear to get off on finding and using to the detriment of all.

#1 - “ I hope this helps you avoid this bug which was obviously put in place intentionally and therefore is not a bug “

So, you are saying he ‘s hosing people ON PURPOSE, but that’s NOT bashing Sam?
Interesting...

#2 I AM setting an example for others, you just don’t like it because you’re getting called out for your words.

Hey Marshals!!
Quit ninjaing this post. Take it elsewhere and let’s get the original bug addressed.

Sam is aware now of the problem, cause and effect. it's up to him how/if he wants to deal with it. That's the facts like it or not.

I've just ;learnt from real life experience, being nice rarely gets results. Nice guys don't finish last, they get shot to pieces and left for dead on the deathtrack
