Care to give us any hints as to the scale of these critters?

Can they eat a Marley?

Yeah, well I'd happily add other mutant creatures too, but these babies were all ready, animated and pre-exported to Torque so they were a no brainer.

I'm thinking we will actually vary the scale (since that's easy to do) so we'll have some that are bigger than a car, ye. They might grow bigger down near firelight.

That sounds great! I think the next big question: When will we see them?  :)

Well, not until after pedestrians, at least. A couple of months or more. They'll probably be most relevant when we do have pedestrians (they'll be ideal enemies in the 'on-foot treasure hunting' missions that have been discussed).

Excellent, Darkwind becomes X-Com crossed with Jagged Alliance 2 (the Sci-fi campaign).

That's my 2 favourite computer games ever crossed with Car Wars. Now that can't be beat.

Now I just have to propose how to merge it with Darklands from Microprose and it will, in fact, be the perfect child of all the games I have loved.

Need to get Steroid Gontarski, Miguel Cordona, Razor and Haywire on my team.

"Ever read about Vlad the Impaler? Awesome dude with the spikes? He's my hero!"

JA2 is one of my favorite games. I liked to just set up NPC town forces and help them fight off sci fi monsters or Diedranna's soldiers.

As for Darklands, let us mix alchemical potions or kill robber barons.  :)

Sam, did Paul ever talk to you about the free animated spider I asked to be ported?

It shouldn't be very difficult. I tried myself but got stuck with texture problem; and I admit I did not spend more than 10 minutes in the test.

The only goal of killing those bugs people is to stay alive... what else? ;)

Still 86% combat effective.... would you like to know more?

Very Interesting, I can't wait to crush these new enemies like they were some sort of... bugs! (bad pun intended as usual!)

Agreed, Hula.  12 gauge, alternating 00 buck with slugs.  Smallest caliber permitted in The Ghosts is .45 ACP!

Depending on how thick the exoskeleton may take a flamethrower or Sigourney Weaver.
