The new additions are cool, you do have a photographer's eye

That looks like a Ronin pwning a fish head in the final pic?

#21 is Toecutters Hammer getting hammered by Black Mambas combat Van.

#23 is your car upon mine, in one of the latest races we had before entering the Closed Beta.

#25 is a Fish head fleeing the heroic charge of Road Ronins, you are right.

I've being doing photography for more long than computers.
It was being considered as a potential career eons ago.

Hey cool.
I'm not taking submission of screenies with game info on it.
Think of hitting 'F8'.

I did on the top 3. Bottom one was from earlier days when I didn't know how. No way to make the top chat box disappear?

The 3 first are very good and should be added to the collection soon.
The last one is of no use. There is the speed displayed on the screen.

You'll have to race it again ;)

We'll have to load a few of these onto the gaming sites such as mmorpg.com. Nice explosive action speed!

thanks! I'll get some shots of the radar guided missle too. The explosions look pretty sweet and I haven't used it enough anyway.

The five new ones have already been posted at mmorpg.com.
I'll add new ones ASAP.

really nice shots, I'm not sure that the pictures are improved by using that filter though, I would rather them in their original state

</2cents>

edit: just noticed that the images weren't diplaying at full res here, they do look nice actually =)

The filter has many purposes:
1) it adds a little painting touch. It was first an attempt to get close to the Chronicles comic style.

2) it clean some not so good textures - like the Alpha

3) it "blurs" the default you would expect when increasing images size.
The filter is applied after images have been enlarged, so the resulting pixel loss is somewhat hidden.
Same quality for all wallpaper sizes.

Ok, after about 50 tries with the radar guided missle, I finally got a good shot.  ;)

RGM1

RGM2

Had a thought: I was trying to take some 'action' shots - as in snap a couple photos of the missle and other bullets in air and then the stages of a hit, but the delay is too long. It would be cool to be able to set up the 'camera' to take 5 quick shots in a row like a speed winder. No idea what's it called for digital cameras. My guess is it's processor related thou - but if not,  :cyclops:

I'd forgotten how cool those RGM explosions were ;)

Nice idea about the action shots: it should be easy enough to do so I'll have a go tomorrow when I'm doing a batch of other game client tweaks.

It could work like this: you press a key to indicate that you want an action shot, and then 4 or 5 shots are taken automatically during the time that the turn is actually rolling forward (evenly spaced out, of course).

nice! I didn't know if it'd work, so I started searching for apps. I found one called snapz pro for the mac where you just video your screen. I'm gonna see if I can create a relatively smooth movie. I may have to preplan camera moves...hmm...off to test it!

Beware with Snapz, it messed my system screenshot function.
I'll be happy to hear how is it working with you.

@Sam: could you add the "hide" everything function?
a shift+F8 for example... so it deselect the car and hide as much thing as possible (windows, messages, etc.)
That would be cool.

Yes, although personally I don't think it's needed: it's very easy to crop an image, after all. However, I'm working on code 'nearby' to that right now so I'll take a look.
