The Tombstone Tavern barkeep, a mysterious character in a huge cowboy hat known only by the name "The Doc", scowls out of the open door of the building. The brooding sky is a mix of blacks and browns; it's impossible to say whether it is made up of rainclouds or smoke from the oilfields, or a mix of the two. "Pah, there's trouble brewing, it's been quiet here too long" spits The Doc, glaring out at the rising wind which whips across the dusty street. "Let's hope todays convoy got to Badlands OK."
