If You Want Blood, Weve Got It

We at EISR strive to bring evan closer to the blood lust these Death Racing gangs live with on a daily basis, after the events of the Somerset Spring Challenge held last night, and the deadly confrontation between two of its main protagonists. We have managed to obtain a statement from the Paranoid Tourists. Please be aware this is the view of the gang and not of this network. We hope to receive a  statement from Joels Bastards shortly, now over too 'Machine Gun' Mark Jackson Leader of the Paranoid Tourists

The Paranoid Tourists and Joel's Bastards have long had a rivalry in the various two week leagues across Evan. Our gangs seem to have different mindsets when it comes to participation in these leagues. And, while it has never quite come to the surface, some animosity seems to have been building in both of our strongholds. I won't go into the details of past events, but there has been a long string of one-on-one battles between our crews.

Yesterday's Somerset Spring Challenge deathrace was where things finally broke into the open. After being slowed on the initial straight, our driver, Charles 'Bitchin'' Pritchett found the car from Joel's Bastards a sitting duck and decided to put a few rounds into his side while passing by. According to Pritchett, he gave up on this idea when he saw Joel turn around and out of the way. A few seconds later Pritchett heard the familiar rattle of Heavy Gatling gun fire on the side of his car. His armor was breached and the engine took a bit of damage. Sensing the car from Joel's Bastards would try to end his run, Pritchett quickly took action, swinging around the barricade to lie in wait for the car from Joel's Bastards, and found the chance to open up on his low-armored side. After taking some hits, Joel's driver resigned, and Pritchett ceased fire, deciding to move on in the race which he was already far behind in.

After settling a score with the Mages (who had killed one of the Paranoid Tourists in the previous Spring Challenge battle) Pritchett said that he began to climb a hill to go after the pedestrian from Entorano Zargtyferz. (The Paranoid Tourists have a long-standing hatred for pedestrians firing weapons in deathraces. The reasons for which can be traced back to another Paranoid Tourists/Joel's Bastards (Slaythofens) encounter in a league deathrace a couple of years ago).

While climbing this hill, Pritchett checked his rear-view mirror and was shocked at what he saw. The Joel's Bastards driver had commandeered the car from Renegade of Metal and had broken through the barricades to come after Pritchett's car. Thinking that he had forced Joel's Bastards to resign, Pritchett was surprised to see him not only up and running again, but coming directly at him off of the race path. Pritchett made some defensive maneuvers, but it was too late, and he felt the shock of lead as it entered his gut. The racer was forced to resign, as he was knocked out from the pain. It seemed, also, that Joel's Bastards had been coming for blood, so Pritchett decided to play for his life, not the league.

A few seconds later Pritchett awoke to find the Joel's Bastards car crossing in front of him. Blinded by pain and remembering only the feeling that a bloodthirsty deathracer bearing down on him brought, Pritchett quickly grabbed hold of the heavy gatling gun, and lined it up on the Joel's Bastards car. Unfortunately for him, his steering controls had been shut down due to the prior resignation. Pritchett pressed and held the trigger, drawing the ire of Joel's racer, and, eventually, drawing blood. Not surprised that the Joel's Bastards racer was turning back toward him, Pritchett decided to hold that trigger tightly until he could no longer. Eventually both drivers blacked out from the pain, and the cars coasted to a stop next to each other.

Joel's Bastards decided that this shall be the beginning of a rivalry and feud. The Paranoid Tourists feel that this is a mere escalation of a long-standing battle.

Joel's Bastards feel that Pritchett was wrong to resign and then fire again. The Paranoid Tourists feel that Joel's Bastards had done the exact same thing. The only difference being that they used two cars. If Pritchett had known that the racer from Joel's Bastards would come after him after resigning, he would not have ceased fire in the initial encounter.

We'll be glad to field any further questions you have, Grograt. After all, “The press is the best instrument for enlightening the mind of man, and improving him as a rational, moral and social being” -Thomas Jefferson

"Boss" Rosco issues the Following script to EISR:

Our gang has held many rivalries after competing the last few years in these deathsports but not since "shark attack" have we seen such deplorable tactics.  Even our fiercest Professional Rival - Caps Distributor honors surrenders and does not shoot from resigned vehicles(on purpose). We would argue that once a car resigns it's weapons should be turned off along with it's engine.  However we are sick of arguing and talking and it seems that we are left to our own devices to settle this kind of behavior.

The Paranoid Tourists will learn and I hope other competing gangs also learn the lesson.  Even if the Paranoid Tourists defeat us in every single Death Race, Combat and yes indeed regular racing, they shall find winning the events now extremely hard for themselves.  We "Bastards" have resigned ourselves to this fate, so strongly we have come to hate.

We leave sports fans to view the event, and come to their own conclusions if we are over reacting or they are full of crap when they say it was just returning the favor.

The Last comment we will ever say on the matter.  Shooting our resigned cars or shooting from a resigned car will earn a blood feud.  Perhaps more gangs out there would like this kind of thing who knows.

We have our own quote of relevance to this matter, it is quickly becoming our situation...

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.

I guess this would depend on your definitions of the words "grieved" and "nobody".

Besides that. Somebody's got to look out for the interests of the ruthless. ;)*

*All said in good fun
