Skill Level Appears To Drop , Why Did This Happen ?

Two days ago the skill points on several of my gangers went DOWN!.

Recently I created a spreadsheet to monitor what it going on with my characters and suddenly I noticed that as of Sept 28th (the day I started to monitor this particular thing), points in Driving, Gunnery, and Large Guns for several of my characters has been reduced and some of them are even in perfect health.

I've never heard of a system where your attributes decrease without some kind of poison/venom/or toxin.

Of course, I know I am looking at "Skills" there and probably something has happened to my "Attributes" (Str, Dex, etc) that I haven't been monitoring - but how even can that be so when I have a gunner (Wanita Bang) who is uninjured in any way (100 Activity) and has participated in only two arena events as gunner and suddenly last night she get's her gunner skill reduced by 1.

I will guess that the computers behind this max madness made an error in assuming something has happened to her dexterity? But what on Evan could explain it? She wasn't hit by anything and has no damage report (you should have seen her driver tho - whoa! he did get it good and I mean but good).

Is this a newb question or a bug report? Four of my characters have lost skill points since I started tracking that stuff two days ago. Starting today I will also track Character Attributes so I will have more information about this business as it goes.

Oh wait.... no.... I have been keeping track of Attributes come to see it again.... so nope, that isn't it. No changes to Dexterity or nothing... just Driver skills, Gunnery and Large Guns on a few of the characters.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you are not misinterpreting the data somehow? You can see a ganger's skill level from the week before (it is shown in brackets next to the current skill level).

Yeah, skills should only drop due to ageing, which only happens at the start of each year. A misinterpretation would be my hunch.

Edit...oh well they got in before me, but i have a pretty picture.

Might i suggest also for any questions posted in this section, to give the topic a relevant name for subject, so in future any new players looking through for info can find it easier :)

Being a cheeky barsteward i just added a little info in topic....no offence intended Asmoday :)

No offense taken - but you don't believe the topic name "Skill levels appear to drop, why is this happening?" isn't relevant?

As far as an error on my part or misinterpretation of the data, yep. That seems to be the case. I guess I had the datasets in the wrong order. :)  Sorry folks. I'll fix my record keeping.

IMHO, making use of spreadsheets and other "non-essential" record keeping will just make the game harder on you while you rack your brains trying to figure out the reason behind some perceived "problem" you may have noticed. (no offense) ;)

As mentioned before, there are MANY Purposely hidden codes that have to do with skills, health, attributes and general demeanor of your gangers AS WELL as your cars chassis toughness/armor ratios, suspension bounciness, engine power/climbing power etc.

You may find that some of the questions you have just can't be answered, or can only be answered by others by describing a tactic or certain event that portrays your question in their "experience" playing the game. Ask all the questions you need to but don't expect the exact same answer from other players in all your queries. Their game experience is as varied as the player base is.

In short, try to restrain the urge to "figure" out the game too early in your career! :) Keeping the DW experience as simple as possible is the best advice I can give a new player just starting out. No need to make it harder on yourself. The learning curve of DW is steep enough! Spreadsheet usage and other personal record keeping can wait until later. B)
