Can't say what happens if you try to resolve the encounters while you are unsub'd, but I had a travel squad that I hadn't processed last time I let my sub slip. 2 months later, when I re-sub'd - I processed the encounters with no problems.
The squad was in limbo for the 8 weeks or so while I was unsub'd, with no negative consequences.

Still available, if anyone is interested.
My wub expires in 4 days so hoping to get a deal arranged before then. I will probably take a little break from sub'ing - most likely back around xmas.
Not worried about someone breaking the camp, more than enough goods out there to rebuild it many times over.
Will consider offers lower than my original floor-price.

The Dionysians have been very quiet of late and the nearby camp-come-chapel Thebes has been gathering quite a bit of dust.
Seems a shame to mothball such a wonderful production facility that has produced Buzzers, 5lv8's, 9L's and the such in the past.
Parties interested in leasing the facility should contact me via PM with offers - although please note that the lease will need to be sufficient to cover at least half my weekly expenses (ie offers will need to be at least 75k per week).
Contract terms are negotiable, probably looking at an initial lease of 1 game year (3 months, right?)
I look forward to hearing from any interested parties.

Then I read there was bouncing and penetrating.

Tolkien & F Herbert define the genres, and set my expectations
S Donaldson and I M Banks haven't failed me
M Atwood deserves a mention as well.
Edit - just read the thread more carefully. Dune changed my life. I loved Ender's Game* in my youth, but I only like his novels - not his other writings.
*(film in development, set for release Nov 2013)

And welcome! Thebes is always happy to provide a port for those new to the game, when you are able & interested in obtaining camp benefits!

Moving on, I think being able to make cars inactive as described in the original post would be cool.
If you guys wanna thrash out your differences elsewhere that would be great.

Looks like someone has snapped up the best of the bargains, but still a fair bit of good stuff at awesome prices.
JS, how do you do such crazy prices?
