Ernie 'Double E' Earnhardt died at 25 during a challenging race on Nothern Desert Racing Circuit.
While he already got injured twice on the same track the day before, he bravely offered to bring a prize for the gang.

He never ever raced more than half of the track length and died painfully after a car crash with opponents and a barrier.

His body and the car have been buried nearby the place he died.

Felix 'The Cat' walks into the garage. A bemused Robert Price lifts his head from his paper work "Cat! You're back early, and on foot. Wheres the Car, more importantly, wheres Vera?"

Felix struggles to make eye contact, scanning around the garage in hope to see Plexipus getting a hose down "Ahh the car, right Chief, ahh..." Takes a moment to try and swallow "it disapeared." The Cat drops himself onto a pile of tires to take a load off, fearful that he may have used up his last life.

"What! Disappeared!" Chief is not amused "And Vera!?"

"Oh that.. ahh, I ran over her head,... sorry about that Chief"

Robert simply sits and stares.

'The Forces'' Vera Lynn, what has become of you?

"Where's Edward and James?" Was the thought that every member of the gang was thinking, after the two of them never returned from a rather crazy scout.

Hours passed... Days passed... before a scouting team was finally sent to look for the two men. Both of the bodies were found dead in a phoenix, the mighty gang leader, Edward "Cuts down" Figgs, had his head half torn off, and the other, James "JimmyJimmy" Jimmerson, best gang member of the Heavyweights, had a caved in skull. Both wounds had happened at the exact same time.

Apparently, Edward hadn't died right away, a note was written in his hands, barely legible and covered in blood:
"Stay strong, my brothers." It read.

Bonnie 'Total Eclipse' Tyler

Kirk 'Metal Head' Hammett

Both old time members, recently returned from Badlands for some gunnery practise in Somerset.

Taken out in a couple of Phoes, a sad loss.

Never take anything for granted.

"Cherry" Sherry Gagnon knocked back the last of her Jack Daniels, wiping her mouth she shook her head. She said what nearly all the Somerset Hitmen contingent were thinking.

"Bloody Phoenix, they went out alone in a Bloody Phoenix".

She slid the glass down to Dexter who deftly snatched off the bar and started to clean it with the dirty towel he carried. She walked out of the bar, still shaking her head.

"What a waste".

A Brothers ganger sits listening, he decides to set the bar right to how it all went down.

' It was one of our regular dual phoenix scouts, we conduct daily, probably into the hundreds now. They just got complacent, to many easy turn a rounds in the past, one crew limped away safely but Bonnie died in the vehicle, while we found Kirks body half eaten next to a dead creepy. '

He sipped on his ginger beer, shaking his head.

' never under estimate those pirates and never think life is a sure thing round here, for anybody. '

He placed his empty glass on the table, stood and walked out.

The ganger wearing the silver badges of the Fifth Legion threw back his whiskey. "'Long' Henry Goodfellow, killed by Boss returning from battle," he said. "The bastards got Naginata too! Best damned Landrunner we ever had! Vee-Eight, Heavy Gat, we'll miss that one!"

OK Hollars held her glass high. "To the braves that died on Broken Ground" she said in a elevated throaty voice. "Benjamin Rice, Shelia Urbina, Octavio Taliaferro, and Veola Watts. Killed when they were jumped by NDM. Out numbered two to one, they made quite a show for themselves, crushing four and driving the remaining bastards off so the others in the scout could live. Thier efforts were almost wasted as those devious c**cksuckers returned at the gates.  Vi Bye was killed when she gave her life to let the last car escape into town."
Ok drained her glass and slammed it on the table so hard it shattered, cutting her palm. She dipped two fingers of her other hand in the blood on her palm and then drew two crimson lines down her cheeks.
"North Desert Marauders, there will be blood. Yes, there will be blood."

Tina "Blackeye" Turner sobbed and raised her glass. "To my love, Ike "backhand" Turner. Im gonna miss you, you abusive son-of-a bitch!"

Ike had his legs shot out from under him after he turtled his ride outside of GW doing an "easy" mail run.

A women with spiked hair dyed blue under the coating of soot, oil, and blood stumbles into Dexter's. She stumbles up to the bar and slams onto a stool, blood from her arms staining the already-stained wood of the countertop. "Gimme a beer, you lucky son of a bitch," she told the bartender. Tear tracks cut through the grime and soot on her face.

The barman set a tankard of beer on the counter next to her. "Why am I a lucky son of a bitch?" He asked softly.

"Cuz you're still alive." She gulped back half of the tankard in a single swallow.

"And who isn't?" the barman asked, even more softly.

"The Boss. Wheels Hoffman." The ganger buried her head in her arms, her voice muffled. "Damn Ninjas. Damn Badlanders. Damn... world."

RIP Kathleen 'Wheels' Hoffman, dead at Northern Farmland of shrapnel in the brain.

{OOC Just wrote this cool story about a recent loss.. and then the page refreshed and I lost it :( I'll try to remember it, but its just not the same}

Chester Mason, long time head mechanic for Bastille receives a transmission from Elmsfield. No word had come from the northern town for over a month. From the first line of the transmission, Chester knew something had gone horribly wrong.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Louis Holzman - Elmsfield head operative
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I regret to inform you that our beloved leader, Robert Price has passed on.

A heavy rocket blast shattered the undercarriage of White Heat, throwing The Legendary Apache onto its roof. Robert copped the full force of the blast in the chest, instantly killing him {ooc - exploding his heart, or something similar, quite graphic}. Dan of course, never stopped shooting, screaming with rage as he pumped another 2 mags from his HMG into the Razors' chassis. He didn't stop until the blood was dripping from the door seals. He's pretty torn up and won't leave the Apache, won't eat, sleep, all he does is get mashed on y's. He won't even let anyone near Heat for repairs. I fear he won't last long as he often overheard mumbling about killing all the Deathrace mafia and moving to Firelight to take on the Slaver Scumbags with his bare hands. Everyone here is pretty shaken up. Robert was a beacon of light in this harsh land, with his work for the Mutants despite their early hostilities, his fight for equal rights and countless donations to new, upcoming gangs which counts in the millions. We will all miss him dearly, and hope you can take over his legacy.

Messages have been sent out to all other stations with the dire news. Elms operations have been halted until further instruction.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chester looked around the Bastille Somerset lockup. People were working hard on repairs, and busy organising an attack against the raiders later that day. He didn't have the heart to tell them, to shatter their spirits, it was his job now to keep them high and give hope, as price had done, not to push their heads in the dirt. He disappeared out the garage door and headed to Dexters and a tall bottle of rum.

J-Rod cleared his throat. "Matthew Perez was one of the original Smegma Crazies, way before we became The Ninja Monkeys. Driver, Gunner, Mechanic, daredevil.

"Back in those days, the gang was a total meat grinder. Matthew was missing two toes, one ear and God knows how many teeth. Not that his dental hygeine was bad... it's just that he was addicted to Novocaine, and used to have a tooth extracted every couple of months."

Everyone at the table chuckled.

"He was just this side of un-killable. One time he got knocked out cold in a Sonic that was ripped to shreds by enemy fire... then he woke up, fixed the engine, and drove the damned thing home!"

"The Lunchbox," mumbled 'Downtown' Henry Brown, shaking his head and smiling. "It was a tough little unit, but it wasn't as tough as ol' Matty."

"Yeah," continued J-Rod, "we sold the thing for scrap when he got back to town... it was totaled. So what does he do? He fixes up ANOTHER Sonic, slaps some day-glo, goblin-green paint on it and calls it the Green Hornet."

More laughter.

"He finally got his ticket punched when he was behind the wheel of the Purplesaurus Rex, our first 'real' Ram Car. It was a beauty... four-liter Sunrise with a Roll Cage and a Re-Ram, and a Gat up front just to add insult to injury.

"Unfortunately, the Butane Boys hit us from behind that time. Matt tried to get around the first corner and onward to the rallying point, but some re-re in a sick dog of an S.U.V. cut him off. Matt, he didn't want to crush this pathetic S.U.V. with his Ram, so he jerked the handbrake. The S.U.V. got away...but Matt didn't.

"Rockets and missiles started slamming into the P-Rex, bouncing it all over the place. He did a 360 at one point... dont know if it was intentional or involuntary. Anyway, he managed to make it around the first corner, but he wasn't able to make up for his lost speed.

"One of the Butane boys caught up with him and blew a hole right through the P-Rex, back-to-front. Matt was out cold, engine destroyed, flames all over. You'd think that would be all she wrote, right?

"Wrong. The Butane bitch that took him out made the mistake of getting to close. The P-Rex exploded like a supernova, instantly killing Matt... AND instantly killing that Butane scumbag that took him out. He died, but he took that S.O.B. with him.

"To Matthew Perez," said J-Rod, lifting his glass. "Toughest son of a gun this gang has ever seen, and a fighter to the end."

--

"And then there was Gary Figueroa... 'Scary' Gary. He was one of our best Scouts. I had the honor of serving with him in the Wingman. Dude must have been born with a steering wheel in his hands... he could really make that Moose dance.

"One time, in a Scout that turned ugly, the Wingman got hit so hard that the engine quit on us. There we were, coasting to a stop, both front guns blown to hell, and enemy vehicles circling for the kill. It looked like curtains for us.

"Gary jumps out of the damned car with his shotgun. He sees an enemy Butterfly II having trouble getting up a steep incline on the side of a massive sand dune just a dozen meters away, and runs up to the driver's-side door. He taps on the window with the barrel of the shotty. The driver turns and sees him standing there. Gary smiles.

"Then he pumps a round right in the guy's face. The guy's brains splatter all over the Gunner's face. The Gunner screams like a little girl, bails out and surrenders. That's right... Gary took out a Windsor with one blast from a 12-guage.

"He got us out of that jam, but his luck ran out a couple weeks later. Right side of his car got breached, and he caught some shrapnel in the brain. One second later, he was a corpse.

"Remember, gang... it doesn't matter how tough you are, or how brave you are... sometimes you're the hammer, and sometimes you're the nail. That's just how the world works. So live each moment as if it's your last... because you never know, it just might be."

J-Rod raised his glass again. "Here's to 'Scary' Gary."

And they all drank.

"Bitchin" Betty Rosa rasied her glass for a toast. "Here's to Reginald "Las" Vargas. He was a better accountant than gunner, but he gave his all at the gates of Shanty".

The rest of the Hitmen at the table gave a hearty "Hear, Hear, To Las Vargas"! Then promptly got on with the party.
