The poroblem with most movie licensed games is that they, for the most part, suck :p

Anyone know of any truly great movie games? list em here ^^

Well I can think if "very good." The Warriors. It had even more story than the movie.

I really liked the GodFather game on X-box...really did do justice to the films and ingeniously integrated your char into the major scenes of the movies ^^

The "truly great" part is subjective, but there's a few games based on movies that I've personally enjoyed:

KOTOR (After about 100 Star Wars games they had to get one right :p)
Aliens vs. Predator (ok it might be unfair because it's actually based on TWO of the best sci-fi/horror movies ever)
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (an oldie)
Terminator: Future Shock (It had vehicles and flyable aircraft - impressive considering it was released in 1995)

If you count on movies that were books before they were movies you can include classics like Dune, Dune II and Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy.

That's all I can think of from the top of my head right now, but you're right, there's really very few games based on movies that are worth a damn.
