Like the title says. I installed DW for the first time and it tries to run the update of the latest engine. BUT it just hangs at 99% doing nothing.

I am on Windows XP and there is no log file either, I am sorry, it just hangs at 99% and I close it eventually after my prayers go unheard.

I tried downloading the latest exe files provided on another post but that too does nothing since it says I need script files again. Even after downloading this exe file it doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried reinstalling? Did it help?

I tried both. Installed Java and C++ bits, tried several fixes.

Turns out it is not game related. But related to... I think nobody knows that yet. To some people it seems that downloads hang at 99% and stop responding.

Gonna try to download some other time. If it doesn't work than. Well.. I may not be able to play this game.
