It was great being the lead gang member in SS now Liz had gone, he could sit on his backside all day and have the others run around doing all the chores, and the real beauty of it was it gave him more time to dream up practical jokes to play on the trainees. Sherry walks up to Travis 'Travis, ya know you wanted me to go order the food and the water... well there ain't none' Travis sighs and looks at Sherry 'Girl you are going to have to do better than that if you are looking to wind me up' 'No joke Travis, it's all gone, and nobody is saying who bought it all up' 'Sherry, sweetie, stop winding me up, tell me who I need to go pay' Travis looks at Sherry again and sees the worried look in her face. He knows Sherry can't keep a straight face on a wind up 'You are serious, somebody must have seen something you can't move that much stuff on the sly' 'Nobody is talking Travis, so we checked out the other market place and the Cap Distributors are the only ones with food and water and they are charging ten times the normal rate' The cactus spine drops out of Travis' mouth 'Surely they ain't that dumb to be so obvious... well then again maybe they are. Liz is going to be seriously unchuffed about this, a direct act against our trading interests ain't no joke. And I can tell you Sherry, there'll be no laughing when the payback comes around. Johnny Grant, chief weaponmaster of Cats Laughing, adds, "Our old boss liked to do the odd bit of piracy against groups he didn't like, so we've got a fair stock of water ourselves." Candi nods. "Yeah, I was so excited when I saw all of those barrels in the lockup. Too bad it's all water, and not gas." Johnny taps his Lucky Bullet on the table nervously. "Seems to me that we could be big heroes by selling some of it just a LITTLE over the normal rate..."
