I've notice that some suv are front wheel driven, is that so for all the cars as a design choice or are there any 4wd chassis?

No 4WD.  The engine gets ... weird ... so all the vehicles are 2WD.  IIRC, early alphas/betas had 4WD, but getting them to behave was nontrivial so they were shelved.

that's weird, isn't this using the torcs engine for simulation? oh well not that I know, I didn't play torcs since my steering wheel died a year ago, I just vaguely remember of rally events with 4wd cars being there.
