By solo scout, does it mean one car on it's own or one person with multiple cars?

One car is a very bad idea :)

Thanks. Although in some regards I don't see the difference between one player running 4 vehicles versus 4 different players running one vehicle each. That's why I was asking the general definition. Here I pictured some really good player scouting with one vehicle and blowing up everything in site.

It means either really.

Primarily it means playing alone.

Usually when people 'solo' it is with multiple vehicles, often not more than two.

I solo with one, but that is not the norm.

Yeah, only time I ever solo I go with a lone BPU in Tex or FL.

But as markkos said, that is not the norm.

Most times I'll solo with 2 or 3 cars. My only car I go out with single is an ATG/GG Apache.

I used to go out with a single GG/GG Windsor II a lot and just run until all but one NPC had auto escaped.

The difference is that you get all the loot, so it's a good option if you're low on money :)

In ss I solo with 5 and in bl I solo with four. If your soloing in Bl bring at least two cars and lots of reloads.

P.S. This is my 1001 time posting! Go me!

seriously?

wicked! I wonder how much skilled the gangers should be to pull off something like that. My second* best gunner is almost 30 and from a machine gun clip can hit two / three times.

* the first one is actually dead.

You can solo with a rental antagonist and 2 fresh recruits quite easily. Good way to practice.

which freshmen combo works best?
scout+gunner
2*gunner
other?

and the strategy would be to run away until you have only one on your tail and then stand and fight?

Start off by running away until there's one left. Preferably nothing too big at first. Then get in close, stick your guns into its side and kill it.

Gang member skill doesn't really matter.

As you get more confident, start fighting the larger vehicles by themselves. Got that done ok? Ok, time to take 2 vehicles at once. You can probably eventually take 3-4 cars at once, if you spread them out a bit first.

The antagonist is a very powerful vehicle that is underestimated by people far too often.

Should probably add - expect to lose a couple of times, and don't take anyone you'll miss along :)

I'll throw some unfortunate fella on an antag and see how quickly they die ;)

I didn't realise the run until one bad guy left thing worked. I just figured they kept chasing until you escape.

Solo's the way to go HAR'.

I go out in SS with 8-10 vehicles, bring back about 7-8 loot cars, make about 60-100K off the loot cars.

In BL, I go out with same: 8-10 normally. 15 if I can fill 'em.

I started soloing Day 4: took out 4 Apaches. Lost 4 Apaches. Learned how to do FootSquads. Replenished Apaches, never looked back. Rarely group scout. Went every day solid for two months, 15 vehicle solo scouts.

If you feel comfortable with one vehicle, take out 5. With unlimited solo-scout timeouts, you can take all the time you need to figure out where to go, what to shoot and where to run if need be.

Get consistent 10-vehicle scouts in SS as soon as you can. Make some money! Oh, be prepared to, uh, spend some time....

Welcome to DW!

On a little smaller scale I go out with 2 apaches with HMG and CR front plus a Mercenary with rear paint gun and MMG.

As DA mentioned, use the time outs to figure out where you want to go and get a plan in mind as soon as the event starts. Be flexible though in case things don't go quite as planned.

Unfortunately, I have neither the apaches nor the cash to purchase one at this time. I have tried solo scouts with one car and even a 2 on 1 I get the first car demo'd and the second pretty beat up. If I could figure out when the second is actually running I think I could handle it no problem. Is there a message or just until one turns and runs off?

No, what they are referring to is the ability to use the Auto-Escape at 500+ meters to pare down the enemy.

You run, and as they enemy gets split up the stragglers get beyond the 500 meter mark and Auto-Escape. When the number of remaining enemies is to your liking, you turn and engage.

However, developer considers this to be a small exploit so AI has been getting better about staying together.
