I, Mebzuth Thothkol, weapon smith exquisite, have chosen the best crafter the outpost could afford and embarked on the road for glory and richness! The food stock are a bit short now but the area will provide some shrub for our early needs, while we carve the fields under the river. Sadly I had no chance to get some silk clothes, I hope to get some when the first caravan arrives. Without that, Reg, the surgen, tells me that he will have to suture people with iron spikes. That had left me a bit concerned about his mental stability. and why in hell a guy with no empathy, clumsy and totally lacking social skill should be a doctor? luckily my long friend and stone crafter Lodum Oddomesor is easy going. We were together in the mining university musical band, we should make some musical instrument or something to make the work less daunting. by the way, while we will dig the farming chambers, we'll rush out some rock craft encrusted with whatever we'll find down there. We'll need to rush the production of worthy stuff, to buy all the stuff we missed out on embark from the first caravan. Damned thing broke and now its stuck there, I'll have to burn it sooner or later. Recounting stuff, we're all set to go! No, wait a minute: who in hell brought a male donkey? oh well. will be our living meat reserve if the farming effort fails. speaking of which, we have solid chert down south and a sand hill up north. (the f stuff) planted sightly below are prickle berries, those are really slow to grow, but we had gathered enough to pass the winter. most of the gathered plants got converted in booze, but this other crop may sustain us for the time required to move all the infrastructure underground I've made a makeshift room for our new accountant/manager/crappy surgeon/trader! look how happy he is now: sadly he was on the only usable spot, so in his room found place the finished good stockpile, a wood furnace and a forge producing large serrate disks like there is no tomorrow.
