Send a personal messsage to *Diablo Vash*

Hey guys, just a post to say i wont be on DW for a little while right now, my mums computer (what i use for DW) has completely crashed and i'm trying to work out whats going on to make it crash every min.

if you can think of anything that it could be plz post here ans say what you think.

First we thought it was the CPU overheating but after alot of test on it it's got nothing to do with it (computer was off for a day, CPU was stone cold and yet in 2 mins of turning it on it crashed again). then got told it could be the hard drives but i hooked both HD to my computer and they had no problems. so once again if you have any ideas please say so here.

Could be some corrupted system file, or a virus?

When you say you tried the HDs on your own computer, did you actually use them to run Windows off, or just as secondary drives?

Sounds like it could be the RAM to me. If you have two RAM sticks it's super easy to check too. Remove one of the sticks, try running with the remaining one, if it still crashes try running with the other stick.

both sam, used her HD as my master and it worked fine then i made it a slave to give it a good virus and spyware check.

Jean i'll take a look at the ram now, brought a 526 MB ram stick for it about a month ago but had no problems back then.....but still i'll test it out.

ok took out the 512 (not 526) MB ram and put the old ram in that we know had no problems and she booted up fine and loaded everyhting but then i opened spyware scanner to test it and i made it check for problems and she crashed again within a min.

ok so far we have knocked out these as the problems.

HD
CPU
RAM

sadly only 2 real things left which is the motherboard and power supply......which i have no real way of testing.....and will take a while and cost a bit to replace.

(need to get on DW soon becuase i only have about 7k on me and i had 3k taken out this week from hospital and traning.....)

after help from a friend turns out the CPU has burnt out......so annoying.....i'm contacting the place i brought it from now to to able to use the warranty on it, hopefully they will replace it.

so i probably wont be able to play for about 2 weeks so i'm about to stop my traning and hospital fees to keep my weekly cost down, hopefully my food + water cost wont be higher then 2k which should keep my covered for about 4 weeks if needed.

Edit: Whats really killing me is watching my place in the league race ladder go down......can't do anything to make me stop or go up :mad:
