You thought you had the ability to beat the setup.. you didnt.. its very clear when people watch the replay what your 'strategy' was... and how poorly it worked. you didnt TRY anything to beat me... you found a head on attack didnt work and you ran away. You didnt try to split up... you didnt do anything.. you just ran away when you meet anything slightly harder than the AI you just flee... you look for fights that are only winnable that is the SAME behaviour as shark.. and the only person who cant see this is you... because.. as you have said yourself.. you have no empathy.. no emotional intelligence. Now dont get me wrong.. I think shark was entirely entitled to play the way he did.. as are you... the response of the vets to shark was to send out squads that could kill him easily... You were front gunned, I was rear gunned. 2.  You had 2 Mortar lorry's, I had one. 3.  I checked your crews, they were better than mine.  Many more Sniper specs as just one example.  It's not exaclty the highest skill of the gunner, it's all the other areas that have specs as well. 4.  I have exactly 3 PvP matches under my belt.  Taking on a force that is set up for PvP in this case was not a great idea. 5.  I own exactly one Fire Engine.  I was not really interested in losing it. 6.  Since you dragged me into this.  I will have to mention to everyone that I had just fixed your damn laser at my camp, and you don't even offer me a truce.  I loaned you a Flash in GW so you could race.  In fact you came to me, after looking at my garage and asked me if I had a Flash, when I said no (becasue I thought you were talking about SS), you said no, you have a Flash in GW.  You took my 400K bounty without so much as a "how do you do".  Then you said "no hard feelings right".  Really?  Do you really expect that?  Are you that naieve?  7.  My squads were not hidden, you knew exactly what I had. 8.  I will not forget your treachery. 9.  I defended you to bill and goat, and pale when he played.  I have actually saved you from several situations you don't even know about.  That is over. ......................... vet wv pvp5 pvp3 pvp4 Posted Sep 2, 2010, 1:01 pm Last edited Sep 2, 2010, 1:07 pm by JS

FireFly Anarcho-Pumpkin Privateers Darkwind Guru Renegade Group: Members Posts: 5,468 Joined: Mar 3, 2008 Goat, dont spew bull####, those cars were only armed with tank guns, and there's not to much you can do vs mortars goat, please, think about it for a second. Your enemy has 220 range, and the ability to strike your bottom armor with ease, you have a large vehicle that is easy to hit, and your enemy will ignore cover. Option 1, split your squad up, not an option, as the mortars will still hit 1 of them, mercilesly wrecking it, worth the sacrefice, nope, not tactically viable. Option 2, Try to split your enemy up, well, I tried, but its hard to get a solid 200m between both enemy cars, so that didnt work. Option 3, Hit him while he reloads, with the skill of gunners on both part, the 3 turn reload is not enough time to close in, since you had rear mounts, you could keep the distance up. Option 4, outrange the opponent, outrange mortars with tank guns, no way in hell. Did I miss anything? My "Strategy" was option 3, and it was to try to bleed you dry of ammo, but my armor got breached before that, thus, I had no other option than to call a retreat, you know that part of a strategy is to know when it's failing and give it up, right? "You thought you had the ability to beat the setup.. you didnt.." Oh well no, I knew from the start of that battle that the chanse of beating mortar boats were next to none, at least I tried, unlike you would have goat, and sure I tried. And fighting head on is what twin tankgun heavies are built for, if I wanted to fight guirilla warfare I'd bring big pickups, and I've done that before to, (Squad Leauge PvP, 3bpu vs 2 buzzers, we won with no losses, vs a high skill veteran) And do you see me murdering people in arena matches, thats the biggest grief people had with shark, and I've never done it without a reason. You know, I love how your completly ignoring to defend against what I say, and then just continue to attack my posts over and over. (Sorry JS, didnt bother to check who it was that day, I simply just wanted a few games of PvP, and while the gunners might have been trainind in several areas in my case, that isnt to heavilly, they were averaged at around 200 skill heavy/gunnery combined, in terms of skill, no, you might not have had the advantage, but neither did I, and your equipment was better, for starters, you could easilly have outran my trashtruck, and without it for support, I would not have engaged the rest of your force, but you didnt even try) So anyway, while I do like you as a person, I really hate the fact that anyone who has a PvP flag on, but does not want to ever get attacked, should just run back to SS and hide, no matter if they are my friend or not, it exists for a reason. And dont use tailgunners if you dont think they can stand up in the first place, its a tactical choice, not a dissability. It was not naivety, I was simply stating that it was nothing personal, and I did not expect you to take it well either, not that I thought of that before I send the squad out, but anyway, simply put, I expect anyone with the PvP flag on to be ready to get attacked in actual PvP. There's 2 sides to argumentation, to disprove what your opponent is saying and to prove that you argument is better, thus far, you've only done the second, and you cant win unless you do the first. The reason you don't try is because you cant, as that would invalidate your argument on me being a coward.
