I havent played since a month and now I join the forum again and see that I have to pay fees!

I absolutly dislike this, because it forces players to grind for fees! I have to pay 6k per week even if I dont play and wont set my account on vacation, because I still want to pay the training. 6k!

And I dont want to reduce my park of 33 cars! Ok, most of them I dont use regulary, but I want to have my different squads in different towns!

And I dont want to have to play for these useless fees!
Also this is a bigger hit for occasional players that played a longer time and have a bigger carpark (as I was the last month) than for "hard-core-players" (as Vik titled them) .

Outrage!
Lets form a mob and lynch Jake!
Give the shop to the Knights and you park your cars for at least the half! ;)

But seriously, I vote to abolish the fees! Please!

I think you'll find yourself in the minority on this one, Zothen.

The other players seemed to think the fees were reasonable, zothen. Did you try trimming back the stuff you had in your lockups?

When we have camps, a well-run one will be capable of giving you free garaging as well as turning over a profit. Part of the reason for garage fees in the towns is to make camps more viable.

Yeah, ok, but wouldnt it be better to implement it with the camps?
Still dont understand why this fee has been implemented? Only to get rid of alos carpark? ;)

Apropos big carpark - this fee also restrains players from acting as carsellers, like alo does! And there where a nice bunch of newbies who bought cars from alo. And I think this impact isnt so wanted...

Most of the discussion behind this happened when you were afk I think zothen. This is unfortunate as your opinions might have been useful. Basically, garage fees were always intended 'at some stage' but then a lot of discussion around veterans hoarding the best vehicles brought it to a head, and it got implemented quicker.

Do a forum search for the word 'garage' and you'll find most of it.

If you want to suggest modifications etc. let us know! :)

I missed the whole discussion, but have to add my support to the decision. This does prevent people from hoarding tons of rare chassis. Now you really have to pick your "army," or pay big bucks.

I hate weekly fees too, but it is an effective method of dealing with the problem. And, they seem very reasonable. My total fees for this week were just under 10K, and that includes paid training. If I had to stop playing for a period of time, good old vacation button is there (a very welcome feature).

Rather than rental? I hadn't considered it, but it's a nice idea.
I suppose it would be expensive, and there would still be some cost to pay each week (the cost would be protection money to the local thugs).

and therefore reduce the weekly fee? I guess that makes sense too.

In that way it'd be kinda like buying a mobile home. You pay for the "housing", but just pay "rent/utility fees".  A nod to veterans who play a lot and use their success to reduce their monthly fees.
