There's 2 things I'd equally like to work on next, and just thought it would be cool to discuss them, maybe improve them, and vote on which would be best to make next...?


Drugs and Psionics

There will be performance-enhancing drugs available at a price to characters. These will do various things like improve your strength speed and dexterity, however some will have negative long-term effects and may be addictive.

Psionics are crazy twenty-first century (heh) mind powers. Some cool ones would be-
Psionic Push - similar to a Jedi-type thing where you can shove your opponents car.
Psychokinesis - so you can set stuff on fire.
Mind Assaults - probably more than one type of these - e.g. you could drop an enemy's driving skill to -50 for a few seconds, or just cause them concussion damage, or even take control of their steering wheel for a very short period
Force Fields - these could, for a couple of seconds, put a strong defence around a character or (at higher levels) a vehicle.


World Travel, Trade and Wilderness Combats

These are probably more well known, as I think they're discussed more in the documents on the website already.

World travel is to run to real-world time, and to involve lots of battles with NPC gangs, either traders or pirates. You can be either too, of course.

Trade will allow you to make a profit by shipping stuff from one town to another. More money to be made by working the more dangerous routes.

Wilderness combats go with both of the above. You could also go into "wilderness combat" mode straight from the lobby, and this would make your gang go just outside of town looking for trouble (which could be an NPC gang or another player)

edit: more stuff related to world travel would be missions that you're hired to do, bring a dangerous cargo to a town, or escort someone, stuff like that.

alright i like this sam, the drugs thing to me is more 'minor' im not saying it is minor but its "more" minor i think the real world timing trade and battle and such (trading routes in short since im a trader kind of guy) would boost the econmoy rapidly and help ppl get new and better vehicles, that ould also be a chance to add new and rarer vehicles, like a flatbed truck to transport cars to sell and trade or transport them to another 'base' (wink wink secreat!) also u can then have other ppldriving around and making suggestions u know so in short

drugs r minor for now
and the real world trading and driving and such would be MAJOR

EDIT: also congrats sam on becoming an autodueler

EDIT2: im trying to be helpful in everyway i can also so if u need help just ask me please

EDIT3: i just realized sam i know hwo things can be a load and dont take what im going to say wrong but there is another game that is trying to update constantly and can nvr keep up then they dont ever listen so maybe if u get to messed up from work u should take a break every once in awhile :D

You should most important first..
For us it's the travel system.. and from where, we can find drugs or others on ground (Old destroyed cars with putrified characters :p) or in others Towns...

Thanks for the comments. Yes, the drugs and psionics is definitely a smaller thing to develop than the world travel etc. I guess it could be that the two things would appeal to different types of players. Drugs/psionics more to those who just want to battle/race, and the world travel stuff more to those who like strategy games..
