Having found a copy of Truckstop recently I had a quick glance over the rules and decided that I couldnt play it again....sequentual turns makes it very tedious multiplayer. I played the basic one before Truck Stop even came out, and it (along with skateboarding and hardcore music) was what I did in the early 80's. The Compendium adds trucks, buses, helicopters, boat and hovercraft rules to the mix, as well as better pedestrian rules and skills. Then you'll want* Air Wars for planes and dirigibles, and Tanks for...well, tanks, APCs, and artillery. That said, the best part about it is designing the vehicles. While DW does a great job of providing variety, CW has much, much more. However, playing out a 3 on 3 battle (like a small scout) takes hours, not the minutes it does here. If your friends are interested, this is a much better option. (And, you don't have to all be in the same physical space to play it! Aren't computers wonderful?) *When I say "want," most peoples' reaction who played the game is probably, "No, you won't. The game got way too complicated and took forever to play." Which is true.
