He thought he could change the deal and won a Deathrace on Junkyard 2. Maybe he had what was needed to win, but not with a Terrier. Despite a very good 1/4 of race, heavy machine gun slaughtered his body until he died on the edges of the track. There were more bullets in his body, than in the clip of his weapon before the race... He has been killed by Boss gang that was marauding nearby, while we were training with Gearjammers. He died with the car he was driving, like a pilot should. Michael Taylor, a very special friend to Flora Burns died today. He was a skilled driver on assignment in Elmsfiled recruiting new members. He was on a check-ride with a new gunner when he met his fate. The car was not fast enough, the sand too deep, the gunner hesitated. Who knows how it happened?! He had a last wish. He did not want a funeral. He wanted a good old-fashioned Wake! SO LETS' GET THIS PARTY STARTED! A tearful Flora Burns smiled, swallowed her beer in two large gulps, screamed a "Rebel Yell" and threw the glass into the fireplace. This was followed by the 10 other Gearjammers screaming maniacal yells and smashing glasses. Our "rescue" convoy that was supposed to reach Elmsfield and provide supply to our isolated team members there, has been ambushed at the gates of Somerset. We lost two valiant and recent recruits: Jose Smith and Victoria Glisson. They shared both vehicle and death. On the vehicles side also, the loss is severe: 1 armoured Symphony, 1 Desert Tank and the van destined to carry our members. The whole convoy! We are actually enquiring to determine who has provided our departure time and date. Well, all except for Ismael, who was singing completely out of tune with the song on the jukebox, sloppily waving his pint in the air to the beat, slopping brew to the left and right and getting much of that on his gang members. "What?" he finally asked, responding to the glares. "Yeah, Carmelo's dead. What of it?" There were only more glares from his members. "Okay, look," explaied Ismael, finally. "It goes like this: If you can't drive, you better be able to shoot. And if you can't shoot, you better be able to do some repair work." "Hey!" responded the two Jagwire mechanics, who were simply waved off. "Well, ol' Carmelo couldn't do any of that. So what did that make him? Dead meat, that's what. A mining canary. Near as I can tell, he gave the audience a good show in his dying moment, and that's about all I can ask for." A moment later, he added, "And if you're gonna keep being all dour about it, go join those sad guys over there," jerking a thumb towards the Road Ronins. Another moment after that, Rachel-the-elbow-puncher added, "Yeah. I hated Carmelo anyway. That man had no class. On the second race you broke the lap record for 1.6 L engines, your name will be forever. Jacqueline Williams died too; there has been so many collisions until a final shock killed you.
