Greetings gents,

I have been playing for a couple of weeks now and i am looking to join a camp preferably in the northern area as my gangers are rather low skill.
I would of course contribute mech or mechs if there is an opening .

Looking to see what else there is outside of the established towns.

thanks

Yes - and that's more than fair. I'll put them up as I make them and I'll PM you a pw... You can do the same on the parts.

One question for you Jimmy, Of the 2 camps you mentioned, is there a benefit to one over the other? I am looking into applying for a camp membership as well and want to know what requirements their are to join one of them, :)

Not really a benefit of one over the other... Actually I've managed (with the help of others) to get the MR up on BOTH so that they both will support scouting from camp.

At one time Fort New would allow more CR on site and more repairs per day, but now they are about equal.

As far as requirements - it's pretty simple on the camps I run... Anyone can join - anyone that's not an out and out enemy, of course, but it's been too long since I've had any. :)

Again, anyone can join and be "associate" members - meaning you can travel to and from but not make repairs, refuel, etc.

You can be a "full member" if you'll contribute - mech points (by having a *WORKING* mech on site), car parts, electronic parts, etc. I don't have a minimum - just as long as you're doing SOMETHING.

That's pretty well it... I check the camp every couple of weeks and promote associates to full if they've been contributing - and demote full to associate if they haven't.

Non-subs can't travel nor add to mech points, so they get "removed" from camp (takes about a week) so I can move their cars out so they don't against the maximum.

Hope that helps!

Would you prefer multiple mechs vs 1 good one with higher skill? but i definitely would like to join to use facilities for repairs and getting better items. Do you have a need to fill in a specific camp or a coin toss on which one to apply for? Thanks for the info.

The trick with the mechs is that there is only room for so many per mech shop, and only the highest skilled ones work.

Right, for example, the lowest working one at Fort New is a Mech 37 at 96% activity. One mech higher than him will bump him off the working list (which is fine) and MIGHT raise the total Mech Rating of the camp. (I say might because only *sam* knows the true formula)

So to directly answer your question, 2 50 skill mechs are probably worth more than 1 100 skill, but a 50 or 60 is work MUCH more right now than two 30 or 35's, as they would not even get to work.

The lowest mech working at Windy Farms is only a 7, so two 30 or 35's would make a bigger difference there.

Thanks for asking - I didn't realize there was that much of a difference in the "lowest mech."

Hey Jimmy, I have been working with camps for quite some time and can definitively tell you that 1 100 skill mech is ALWAYS better than 2 50's. Especially in the case where your shops are already full.  :)

Jimmy, I brought a mech and some parts (just a few, didn't have much cargo space to spare) to Windy Farms, but it appears I can't donate as an Associate member. Am I missing where I would do that? It's not on the info screen like it is at camps where I am a full member. Thanks!

welcome to the camp Casio

A quick question Jimmy...what is needed most for the camp?? right now I have been bringing in parts and scrap. I will continue to do so unless you let me know of a change in items needed. Any updates or progress towards items being built you can give us that lets everyone know how we are doing? We are all here to contribute, I just want to make sure we are being as productive as possible.
