Why are there so many Npc's sitting around in the camps?
Are these former players?
Can they be used for anything and what do they cost?

Best thing to do is give them a ride to the nearest town if they are pooled.

Additionally, people you fire sit around as well, which can be exploited.

eh...  what?

Only take pooled NPCs to town if they are in the Alley.  The rest of the camps, thats just a soup kitchen.  we are helping Even's poor!

If any of the NPCs in Fort New need a ride to SS I have my landrunner ready to take them. I would rather put my own Mechs to work there.
