A small group of Ansome Cousins Jacks cluster around two figures sat a table. Two beakers of cold beer were placed in front of the figures. Their clothes and skin giving testimony to the fact they had just walked back into town.

‘Winnard’ Chambers lent back in his chair and raised the cold drink to his lips. “Ahh, it’s good to be back, I hate having to walk in the sand” and with that he drained his drink.

‘Crease’ Mixon smiled “See any of those critters out there?”

“Jesus, sure we did” stammered Ignacio Bad, “Wolf was bad enough but we took care of that quickly enough, but the other thing….”

“Other thing, what other thing” asked Crease

“Some kind of shambling wreck of a man” said Winnard “wasn’t quick so we kept out its way and blasted it with our rifles until it fell over”

“Man it was tough” agreed Ignacio “It took hits all over but wasn't going down. It needed one between the eyes before it fell over”

“Wonder if it’s one of those Zombie things we been hearing about from Somerset” Crease said “Thought they were only over that way. Right just have to makes sure we’re prepared, everybody gets one of those swords or chainsaw as well as their rifles”

“Wouldn’t like to get that close to one” said Winnard “Just make sure there’s plenty of rifle ammo in the lock up and I’ll be happy. Right Ignacio I own you a drink for that head shot, what you having?”
