I have a question due to this being my first paintball league and event. I finished in second place on the winning team and got 18 points. When I go to the league page to check the current standings, I only have 12 points. I only participated in one event for the week so there is no average score to calculate. This event had 3 players (Crispin, Boon and myself) so there were bonus points for the event too. ID 229285.

If someone can let me know if I missing something about how the scoring system works for ped events, it would be appreciated.

Sounds like a Bug. PM *Sam* or this will end up being missed!

2nd possible Bug also: I was in a match with Blackwill and there was no NPCs! it was Just him Vs Me! Thats kind of all or nothing there and I dont think thats intended is it Sam?

3rd Bug: I scored 4th in an event with Boon and X earning 12 Points (Maybe this is the 12 that X got???) and then I placed first in the event between Blackwill and myself, earning 22 points. But now mu AVERAGE says 20 Points! For some reason I dont think 12 + 22 Devided by 2 (36/2=18) should equal 20.

Definatly some issues here.

SEEMS that the server switched X's and my score on the first match (229285). because 18+22 would be 20. Other than the fact I didnt get the 18. X did.

One other possibility is that Crispin actually came in second and I got 4th. That would mean the current League standings would be correct, just the actual event standings were wrong. I guess a review of the event and actually counting the hits and points to determine which is right is the best way to get this corrected. I nominate Crispin to handle the review process :rolleyes:

That I did not know. But I was part of the winning team. It showed me taking second place and 18 points, then the current standings showed me with 12 points (and I only played in one event for the week so no averaging was needed to determine my point standing so I should still have 18 points). Something just doesn't add up.

Never seen that before. Usually If it says 1st place gets 22 points, it gives me 22 points when I place 1st

And it still doesnt explain why 12+20 devided by 2 events = 20.

Or why 18 devided by 1 event = 12

Its almost as if the server reported the placements using the WTB but when applying placement points it went off raw scores.

Not that its a big deal. League 1st is less money than I offer ppl to shoot Longo.

No, the 1.5x occurs to the in-event score.

So, if you managed a number of hits and clocked up 1000 points, and your team won, your point tally effectively becomes 1500. This could effectively promote you over someone on the losing side.

You should be able to see the true finishing positions by looking at your event history and checking the placings for that town event.

Looking at the details for that event, it would appear 4 gangs finished with the same points:

2nd Bernadine Garrett (The Darkside) (1125 pts)
3rd Steven Garcia (The Turpins) (1125 pts)
4th 'Executioner' Mack Bolan (SwordStroke Enterprises) (1125 pts)
5th Cheryl Lindsey (The Gladiators) (1125 pts)

I don't know how it decides which one places higher in that situation. First to score that many points, maybe...

My gut tells me it is the first to reach that score which determines the final placement in the event of a tie, but that doesn't resolve the point discrepancy in the league standings.

Ah. Yeah I knew that. I thought Longo was talking about something else since the original comment was unrelated to the issue as far as I could decipher.

We are discussing points as applied to final ranking being applied differently than the final ranking indicates
