The blatant need to over-shoot at opponents. I can understand points and all that - but when someone resigns, they are done. The reasoning that you are collecting "mints" is a weak rationalization. The blowing up of opponents vehicles - especially a "rival" gangs - is totally understandable. The problem is the way it is performed. Example - Longo would get you to demo, then tell you to get out cause he is trashing the car. Yeah, you lose the equipment but gangers are alright - the point is made. To shoot up a car after they demo for no reason other than you want to shoot up their car is low. The difference is simple. Well personally I will let the punks be punks - I am not that way. It is very disconcerting to have others dictate your style of play. To ignore the community itself is not the answer though. This game has kept on BECAUSE of the community. The trend lately of the community to get all introverted is bad in my opinion. To log in and have absolutely no action in the lobby literally for hours has almost pushed me away from the game. This game is full of "good" virtual people - it is just that the "bad" are hard to ignore and they can adversely affect your game playing experience. What we need to do is get back to the way it used to be. More action in the lobby, not the other way around. The best way to counter the bad experiences is to have as many good experiences as you can. If this describes solo scouting and solo travels - then more power to you. For me, I will keep playing socially and running my mouth. Because that is fun for me and - as I have learned from the hardcore players - this game is all about me (Ha). It just happens that helping others and talking to others is what I consider fun. Hopefully more will do the same. We have been forced to adopt the wolf-pack mentality of our opponents in order to combat them. We do it in an effort to break the cycle of domineering, no mercy play styles being shown by our opponents, so that we CAN get back to enjoying the game again, as well as giving new players some semblance of a fighting chance. But, we still have to do it their way. It may take a while, and I may lose my entire gang in the process, but we will prevail, and then we can ALL go back to having fun again...old and new players alike. ......................... vet wv deathrceL1 Posted May 22, 2013, 1:25 am
