That's the reason I posted the original post, why I named my truck "Agni Immolati" (Sacrificial Lamb in Latin), and why I entered that CoE event alone...because I knew what would happen, who would do it, and how the populace would respond. Now there is no hiding behind words, or accusations of lying. There is the proof, and the fallout, all convieniently wrapped up in one package. I have lost track of who redded who. We did/do try to keep track of who is blood vendetta on the other side of the fence in the CoE league.... but frankly I probably wouldn't even post-resign: red crispy myself, it's too much a rep hit in game and that hurts sometimes. Leave the game or whatever, because you very optionally entered a VERY unfair(and always was) PVP event. Oddly, the very FAIR intercepts is all but gone, because of so much useless hand wringing. Then people seem to flock to the COE league to fight the "bullies" there, even though that is an event where one can REALLY bully. I set a honey pot for PvP there and you guys bit. I DO THANK YOU HONESTLY for that. I value mine enemies as much as my allies(mostly people I fought hard in the past individually). Its been great fun, even reading the hate on the forum here. Talking with you no longer interests me. In truth, a lot of it is the same old "he plays like a poophead," "he cries like a girl" routine, which got old for me a long time ago so I'm not gonna participate in that part. But the fact is, Joel's got it right. That league is unlimited, gloves-off ugliness, and if you sign up you'd better know what you're in for. Death is pretty much right there on anybody's whim, and if they wanna turn around and whim your head into fifty pieces, well, it's gonna sting a little. As I understand it, RH is simply a means for those of us who aren't uber-powerful to try and level the playing field a bit in that nasty, brutal, bullet-riddled context. It's an in-game confrontation with those who we view -- rightly or not -- as the big-gun elites with a stranglehold on the league. I, for one, am capable of leaving it at that. You know, if I ever managed to make an event. And I'd imagine plenty of other people (on both sides) do the same. Some don't, but hey, it takes all kinds, right? My train of thought is well off the tracks at this point, but the fact is if there's one event where you're basically screwed unless you're one of the three or four top players, it's the unlimited CoE. That's why I stopped sending my gangers in there, even back when I could make the events with some consistency. And that doesn't mean they're somehow stealing a part of the game from me through brutality and intimidation. It just means my gang is not qualified to compete with them on that level. And that simple fact isn't them being poopheads, it's the nature of the game. Anyway. I'm a big fan of the underdog, and nine times outta ten I'm the underdog myself around here, so I sided with RH before most people even knew it existed. And it's not because I think some guys are being mean and deserve a comeuppance, I think it's because the gangs at the wrong end of a power struggle decided to try to do something about it. Oh, and as a marshal I'm gonna go ahead and mention that there's been some flirtation with the "personal attacks" line that ought not be crossed.
