Most of the stuff is exactly what's expected (by me, anyway) from a quick-and-easy arcade racer, so I didn't have a problem with any of it. Thinking "mass audience," I suppose.

Guns would be nice, but impossible in a ghost-race format. Can't shoot someone that's already run the race, and they can't shoot you before you run it.

There's actually a light braking effect in there on purpose, my sons and I found that much easier to handle than having to use the brake key. But I guess it should be an 'advanced control' option.

Yeah, as JeeTeeOh suggests, this is mostly a playability thing. I have the friction settings up quite high as the cars were spinning too easily when hitting the walls. However, I'll take another look and see if I can tweak it.

This could be an option again I guess; it seems fine at any resolution I have tried it, but there's certainly room for personal preference here.

The suggestion about multiple basic skins is a good idea; I can make the basic skins free. I am going to overhaul pricing anyway, I think access to new cars should be cheaper and access to the best skins should be more expensive.

just downloaded - first thing I notice is the "let's break stuff" icon on MAC :)

making an account - tab doesn't work between fields

woo-hoo - after 4 tries I beat the slowest ghost (snipe) :)

it's too addicting though... I don't like addicting games, that's why I play DW ;)

OK for those like me who had problems with the windows zip files WinRAR works fine.

The game itself I like, can see that it could get very additive, even though I'm not that good at it.

Didn't let me pick my country, only thing I noticed that didn't work - I couldn't move up and down the list.

Track builder was nice addition and very easy to use.

Great time waster while waiting for the next DW event.

First Impressions:

Nicely done. Enjoyable.

Observations:

(1) Cars all seem to accellarate at the same rate. (I have tried Pho, Marly and Symph). Seems the Muscles should accel at a faster rate but without knowing the pysics involved such as weights and engine sizes (If it's there I didnt look) it seems that a Pho should accel a little faster than a Symph.

(2) Wall friction seems off for the Symph. The Pho and Marley dont stick as hard. However even angled hits that I would expect would bounce me away from the wall, often result in a dead stop and having to redo the lap

(3) GUNS! this would be pretty sweet with guns or rocket pods. Although it wouldnt be ghost racing...

People mentioning guns would be good but wouldn't work - you could have something other than the other cars to shoot at. Bonus time/score type stuff to hit - something other than the other racers basically - though obviously it is more fun to be shooting up the opponents! ;)

I find it nice to have a break from the murder and mayhem, and just have a few quick laps to clear the head.

Latest comments:

Marley - seems to slow much quicker than anything else when you release the accelerator.

Track Builder - would be nice to have the option of moving the start/finish block or rotating the view.

Quick question - How do you pick your country? I get a list which stops at Barhamas and can't figure out how to scroll down the list?

I think once you select something it allows you to scroll with the keys. Not sure on that though. with the mouse scroll wheel.
