1st Place Tiebreaker

First, congratulations to Augustus for winning the Northern Paintball League. He won all his events, including one where we both entered. So, it was well played on Augs part and more than deserving of the Title. So, this is not a gripe post, just one that is inquiring how the standings come to be. The last week of the league was completed last night. Augustus was in first as of week 4 with 90 points, I was in second with 86 points. Augs won the week 5 event, got 22 points for a total of 112. I won my week 5 event, got 26 points for a total of 112. Augs was declared the winner. I have seen in other leagues where the player who got the most points in the least week, surpassed the player tied with the same point total. That was the case earlier in the COE 3 this season where I placed first in the first event, the Lord Foul placed first in the second event and he was then listed as 1st place on the leader board. Any long time league players out there that can shed some light on how this point and position placement works on ties?? I was in 1st after the first weeks race, then Lord Foul finished the second race in first and we both had the same point total, yet he was listed as 1st and I was listed as 2nd when I reached the point total first. I do know that ties are very uncommon, but a better way to determine the winner should be put into place. Even a sudden death ladder match between the two players would be a more satisfying way to crown the champ. I am officially depressed by this news  Thanks Lord Foul for verifying this. I at least know in advance what challenges are ahead for future league events. And true, the game is not perfect, but I don't want it to be. It needs to be unique in some aspects of the game play. Some of us do the... "react then adapt"... to things we don't agree with. But regardless of those issues, the game is still too much fun, at least for me. I will be contacting Sam again within the next week on some other items, so I will ask about this and what changes are possible, if any.
