Ever the lovebirds, "Big" Dong Dare and his best (though hardly only) girl Gidget "The Goddess" Godfrey sit close together, their hands groping each other unashamedly for all to see. They reek of sweat, grease, alcohol and that nasty weed that passes for cigarettes around town.

Disinformation Society's leader (and Big's eldest and only full-blooded brother) Prince Dare slams down three bottles of suds and sits across from the pair. With his characteristic grin and a wink.

"Lemme interrupt this exchange of bodily fluids for a news bulletin that I think you're gonna like." Prince beamed.

"Thiff bebber be goob" replied Big, his voice muffled by cleavage.
"Really good..." purred Gidget.

"Howsabout I tell you I got you a present. Well, I didn't get it, but it's for you nonetheless. Just got some comm from Pearce and Berger over in Texan. They claim they just bought a—get this, bro—brand effing new Hot Rod."

At this, Dong's face suddenly appeared from Gidgets neck with a ####ed eyebrow.

"I get a Hot Rod?" Big queried suspiciously.
"I've already got a hot rod..." Gidget giggled.

"...and an Eaton." added Prince with a wink. Gidget was more of a gunner than a driver, but she made no secrets about what she liked. Curves over lines, and class over flash. She'd been pining for an Eaton since she saw one at her last deathrally.

Dong reached out for the bottle as a huge grin spread over his face. Gidget released her grip in whatever she had hidden in Dong's drawers and grabbed the other bottle.

Knowing he had them now, Prince dropped the hammer. "Lemme interrupt this celebration to drop some bad news."

"Aww hell...here we go. What now, big bro? You're not gonna let those two gear watching goobers try and drive them back I hope!"

Prince smiled that famous smile and continued. "No, of course not. But I don't think you're going to like what I'm sending you down in." He paused, still unsure of the wisdom behind this plan. "You're taking the bus."

"The BUS???" they replied in unison. "Look bro, I'm as excited as anybody that we won a league, and that's a swell prize and all that but trucks aren't my thing. Get Trucker George to lug that slug. I do things way too fast to pedal a flimsy whale all that way."

"George is in Elmsfield. That last escort went to #### and he's stuck there for repairs. He won't be fast enough."

"Can we put a bed in the back of the bus?" asked Gidget with a wicked grin. "And can Polly come too?"

"Yes on the bed, no on Polly. She's on a medical hold. You'll have a full compliment of gunners. Some are uh....new...but they can all pull a trigger. They need the training and you're the only one with the guts and skill to attempt it." Prince tried to justify.

"A goddam bus though? How about a handful of those souped-up pickups you've been hoarding?" Big queried.

"That's a firm negatory on pickups. We burned up a couple of the rotaries already on that escort, and the rest are getting armored. You've gotta go and you've gotta go soon."

Prince knew they'd take the bait. Gidget was always game for time on the road with her beloved Dong, and Big wouldn't miss a chance to get his hands on fresh sheet metal.

"You OWE me for this one, Princey." Big quipped as he lifted Gidget from his lap. Their bottles clinked together in toast before the trio shuffled off toward the lockup.

"Deal." said Prince as he gave his brother a slap on the back. "I owe you a brand new Hot Rod and an exciting vacation getaway with Gidge. Now don't break my bus and don't kill all the fresh meat."
