It's using the Civ 5 engine, so I'm not interested. A shame, because I was a huge fan of Alpha Centauri.

The game currently has a bug that doesn't allow certain setups to choose 1080p resolution unless you're playing on windowed mode.

Opinions on it during Alpha and Beta stages have been mixed. But the Negative ones were VERY negative and Positive ones equally VERY positive. It seemed to me it was the "defend Civ because I like it" crowd vs the "I don't like it" people.

Personally I haven't tried it. However I was very disappointed in how Civ V (the engine used for Beyone Earth) ruined a lot of what Civ was about and made it more action oriented than strategic. So despite buying every verion of Civ since Civ 1 as well as all expansions, I will NOT be buying this until it's on sale for at least 66% to 75% off.

I bought it, I play it, I like it... Civ 5 with expansions arguably better, what it will turn into should be quite good but as it is only get it for a further civ need if your bout done caring about 5 or just like a change of pace.
