St Crisp,
Thanks for the corrections. If people complain because something in a wiki doesn't work exactly as it does in the game, please send them to me because I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale at a very reasonable price.

Here's the latest:
- Each camp owner will have different requirements for their camp, but generally, if you provide supplies and mechanics, you will receive a cut in the equipment produced. A prospective member should make sure to work this out with the camp owner before providing support. Remember, this is a trust relationship and there is no mechanism to prevent a camp owner from screwing the members other than withdrawing your support.
- You can use the camp facilities to fix equipment too broken to be repaired in town but this will depend on the size of the camp and the type of equipment.
- You can scout from camps with no chance of a return encounter but you will need to supply fuel and ammo. Remember, you can still have multiple encounters during the initial scout.

As for contacting camp owners, how can a non-member know who owns a particular camp?

Anything else? Who can get this into the wiki?

Anyone can create an account and edit the wiki.

I would point out that there are several more detailed items you could include... Such as "if you have 18 shots in your HMG and you click to reload it uses a FULL reload, not just 2 shots."

Same with refueling.

Also - some camp owners (me) will also pay CASH (well, DW$) to a player if they leave a mech in camp instead of a portion of goods produced (if the player prefers). Can be a good source of guaranteed revenue for a new player.

Also, when you repair in camp you use up "mech time," which is limited daily. Also, you do NOT need to "pool" your gangers for them to work in the mech shops. Pooling them means that others can load them in cars (you may or may not want this).

Sorry - forgot this part...

If you are a member, go to the "info" tab at a camp and it will tell you the owner.

If you are not a member - I don't know. :)

EDIT: actually if you are a member of a camp you can go to the "wars" tab and see all camps and their owners.

There are a lot of tidbits that would go into a "guide to camping"

Some would include:

-turn OFF auto reload, refuel, repair. Since you will destroy mech points and burn up the owners fuel fast refueling cars that only used 1 unit of fuel. You will also burn through ammo reloading guns that only needed 1 round. Sucking up mech points day after day and using all the fuel (unless the camp MAKES fuel) is a fast way to anger a camp owner.

-strip your loot cars! If you have a bunch of broken loot that you don't plan to use for scouting in immediately, remove all guns and reduce armor to 5 per side! This reduces car CR to its minimum. Camps have a maximum allowable CR. If you as a new camper accidentally push camp CR too high everyone in camp will suffer devastating Perma-damage to their cars and gear! Someone with a Cougar or DeVille or Turin may not be too happy about it if your inexperience costs them significantly in this manner!

-use stripped vehicles to store your stuff in! Save some Estates, Pickups, Vans, Boxers, or Lorrys to keep your supplies in. Everything except Scrap Metal and Stone will add to camp lockup bulk. Some camps can't hold much! If it goes over, all gear not in a car takes damage or gets destroyed. The player who loses a tank gun or laser because you put the camp overbulk may not be happy! Load all ammo, fuel, guns, engines, tyres and non-donated CPs, EPs, food water plastics into storage cars!

Ask the camp owner or a manager what amount of bulk you should try to stay under. The general rule I've seen in camps I have spent time in, is "stay below 500". Personally I aim for zero bulk unless the items are undergoing repairs and can't be loaded into a car. (1) I don't want to lose or damage my gear if someone puts us overbulk accidentally. (2) I like a low profile and don't want to be a burden on the owner or other members. (3) if a member's subscription expires the maximums will fall (CR and Bulk) and often this results in sudden unexpected loss of gear or ammo due to overbulk. You don't even know it until it happens since the Sub expires at exactly the same time of day as the server refreshes the camp info. (Or it appears this is the case)

So I figure it's best to just stow all my gear even if the camp doesn't have a bulk guideline.
