Not sure how many here know of Miller Williams.

He was a fairly well known Poet and Professor. He was also Emily's Grandfather. He raised her for part of her life. Sadly he passed away the evening of January 1st 2015.

He wrote a Poem at Emily's birth. One of his more studied poems. If you would like to read it google "A Poem for Emily"

We are blessed to have a framed copy of it in our kitchen. The really special thing about this framed work is that the frame itself is made from his bed's headboard. It was a gift we were given around the time of the wedding when he realized he wouldn't be coherent much longer (he had Alzheimer's).

Sadly I didn't get to meet Miller in person.
