It's not what I imagined a good story would be, and that's probably a good thing. George Miller has come a long way from the shoe string budget he had for the first Mad Max in 1979. With a huge budget he revved up story telling to a whole new level. I have to say a sat through the film speechless because I didn't want to miss anything if I looked away. I've seen it in 2D and 3D and can't wait to see it at the drive in. It looks like it's going to do well enough that Warner Brothers will let Miller make a few more. And don’t get me wrong it’s a fun film – spikey cars, mad bike stunts, over the top custom jobs, great battle scenes, everything you would want from a film for DW. Even trying to figure out how I could make some skins for DW based on the stuff from the film But I left the cinema feeling just a bit disappointed, and I can’t quite put my finger on why??? Something just didn’t sit right for me Won’t be rushing out to buy the DvD – sure I’ll watch again when it comes on telly and will thoroughly enjoy it.
