€ versus $ prices

*sam* The Salthill Sluggerz Darkwind Guru Renegade Group: Lead Developer Posts: 16,780 Joined: Jan 19, 2006 I have just updated the exchange rate between $ and € for DW subscriptions/Chrome, since they had drifted out a long way with the €'s dramatic fall in recent months. Apologies for the delay! The reason I forgot to do this is that, prior to going onto Steam, the exchange rate was automated on the DW website based on data downloaded daily from the European Central Bank's webservice. But when DW went onto Steam I changed it to being hard-coded since I wanted all figured to be rounded off to full $ (i.e. no cents). Anyhow... *StCrispin* Beasts of the Lair Darkwind Guru Anarchists Faction Group: Marshals Posts: 2,657 Joined: Feb 13, 2012 I reported this a little bit back.  No one really took notice.  I thought I emailed you.  I know I mentioned it to X in case he talked to you. http://www.dark-wind.com/forums2/index.php?a=topic&t=24397 It drifted so far out that some people were paying $61.00 for a Sub when the actual rate was $47.70 I simply chose the "Pay in Euros" option and let Paypal smoke me for an added $2.50 (to convert the currency) since that was still around $12.00 less than the dollar rate.  But not very many people go to check the FOREX rates before subbing.
